Week/Baby Size: 25 weeks, supposedly a soccer ball...now, I know I'm big, but I'm assuming length because, really, a soccer ball?!

Symptoms: apparently some lingering nausea...come on body, pull yourself together! And dry mouth, OH the dry mouth!!

Rants/Raves/Stories: I could so do without this cold sinus pressure situation, just in time for the holidays...

Upcoming Appointments: 28 week appt (last of the 4 week span!) and GD test January 14th

Questions: Anyone thought about your take-home outfit? I feel like I'm stressing about it so much. I can't use DD1's outfit because she wore a fleece sleeper and April in Florida is way too warm for that...

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays? Seeing DD get all her new baby doll accessories! She's a little mama and it's SO cute. And also not having an agenda or plan, doing nothing if we so feel like it!

  • Week/Baby Size: 22 Weeks, Papaya

Symptoms: Heartburn same as with DS, wondering if he'll have as much hair as DS did. That was one old wives tale that was more than accurate for us.

Rants/Raves/Stories: I tripped over my own to feet at work but thankfully didn't hit my stomach. I was still nervous and OB had me go in to make sure baby and placenta were ok. All is well Thank God.

Upcoming Appointments: January 6 for my 24 week and to pick up the glucose mixture to drink before my 28 week appt.

    Questions: Nope

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays? Spending time with family. I wish it wasn't 83 degrees and muggy this year so it would feel more like the holidays but I'll gladly take the off of work.
  • @Goldsgirl9 I hear ya on the weather! Oh my word its sticky out! This is out first Florida by choice (DD was born 1 week before Christmas 2 years ago) so we are planning to embrace it and go to the beach lol.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with dry mouth. I had horrible peeling mouth in the first tri, to the point of bleeding sometimes. It went away in second tri, but it came back 2-3 days ago! I'm freaking out thinking the baby needs more water and I'm not providing enough. And I'm drinking tons...

Week/Baby Size: 25 weeks - head of lettuce or rutabaga. Hmmmm.. What's a rutabaga?!?!

Symptoms: None other than the return of the dry, peeling mouth.

Rants/Raves/Stories: I was supposed to be on a plane to Rio de Janeiro tonight. I'm kinda depressed that most of my family and none of my friends will ever be able to participate in my first pregnancy... See the belly, rub it, feel the kicks... I'm so bummed. On the bright side, mom is coming to cheer me up in 4 days. :)

Upcoming Appointments: I scheduled an elective US on dec 30 so mom can see her grandson again. Then I have a 28 w appt in mid January.

Questions: when are we supposed to count kicks? How do you do it? Time it until you feel 10 kicks, or count the number of kicks over an hour, or other methods?

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays? My mom's arrival, for sure!
  • @thaisac1 I never did kick counts with DD and was never asked to. She was so active it really didn't even matter. This one is definitely a bit more chill. I've heard kick counts, for those that are asked to do them, start at 28 weeks. My doctors just always ask if she's active and her movements are normal to what I'm used to.

  • @imrachellea Is the rain ever going to stop? I am so over it!!!! It doesn't even feel like the holidays  :'(
  • Week/Baby Size: 21 weeks size of a Pomegranate.

    Symptoms: Ridiculous amounts of burping...yuck!

Rants/Raves/Stories: Due Date changed yesterday at appointment from A/S follow up. All looks fantastic <3

Upcoming Appointments: I have to wait until Feb 3 after my Mexico vacation!

Questions: Anyone else have a due date change? If so what was the difference in dates?

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays? I am looking forward to holding my new nephew for the first time and my puppy opening up his gifts. Plus once the holidays are over I can officially start the countdown to relaxing on the beach!

  • Week/Baby Size: 25 weeks, Cauliflower

Symptoms: heartburn more frequently, hip pain, dry mouth and nose

Rants/Raves/Stories: Some woman at lunch the other day was talking loudly and told her stomach "gah could you please stop kicking me? This is getting old." WTH?! Maybe I'm sensitive but I don't care how uncomfortable I am, kick away my LO kick away!

Upcoming Appointments: GD test on Jan 8th.

    Questions: None at the moment

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays? A day off! Also going back to a normal schedule after Christmas. I am so ready to have a lazy day with DH!
  • @imrachellea I just happened across one. I love baking and cupcakes and I saw a little outfit that has a cupcake on it and says sweetie (the name that always gives me butterflies when DH says it). It also has a little cupcake hat! I was sold.
  • Week/Baby Size:  25 weeks. Size of cauliflower?

Symptoms: uncomfortable all the time (all ready!?) Other than that and feeling huge all the time I can't think of any other symptoms.

Rants/Raves/Stories: Have to host Christmas at my house this year when all I want to do is just relax with my family. I will be seeing my Dad for the first time in months, my husband has to work, it's going to be a different Christmas but my Mom invited herself over (we have a strained relationship) so I get to play hostess instead of enjoying my family (my mom has high expectations)

Upcoming Appointments:  January 18th is my 28/29 week appt/ultrasound/glucose

    Questions: none

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays? I'm looking forward to seeing my Dad for the first time in months (I'm in Kansas, he's in Colorado) and seeing my kids open their presents.

  • Week/Baby Size: 23w, grapefruit? Ovia says he's the size of a Barbie doll.

Symptoms: The back pain. Ugh! And frequent urination which could also be because I'm staying better hydrated.

Rants/Raves/Stories: DH and I just got back from our honeymoon cruise. It was so great to have that bonding time, to see DH be proud of my bump and we both got to feel a ton of movement! The 10 hour car ride was the worst part.

I also found a new appreciation for being pregnant in the winter! The heat in the Carribean was wearing me out!

Upcoming Appointments: Not until next Friday.

    Questions:

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays?
Looking forward to getting back to my dogs after 2 weeks away from home.
Also excited to see DS open his gifts :)
  • Week/Baby Size: 24 & cantaloupe?

    Symptoms: heartburn and hip pain

Rants/Raves/Stories: really excited to have off from work until Jan 4!

Upcoming Appointments: I am going to do the GD test while I have off for break

Questions: who wants to name this kid? Just kidding. But DH & I suck big time at it this go around.

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays? DS just now sort of "gets it" as far presents go, so I'm really excited to see him open everything. It's also our last Christmas close to family so I'm excited to enjoy all of our traditions one last time. Next year we will be living a few hours away so we won't be able to spend the time with everyone like we do now.

  • Week/Baby Size: 25 weeks!

Symptoms: This head cold seriously needs to take a hike!

Rants/Raves/Stories: We're in Disney world now, and last night was rough.. We did a boat ride and then I proceeded to empty the contents of my stomach... Then started getting painful cramping around baby boy.. And then got back to the hotel to discover my stomach had a little something more to give. Feeling better today, but toning my walking wayyyy down.

    Upcoming Appointments: GD next month!

    Questions:

GTKY: What are you most looking forward to over the holidays?
