Exhausted!!

6 weeks pregnant and not in the mood to do anything just lay around all day and hubby doesn't understand I'm just not feeling it

Re: Exhausted!!

  • Tiredness and even fatigue are normal in pregnancy if that's what you're wondering. Many women get some relief as they near he second trimester.

  • You may need to have a frank conversation with him. If you begin to have m/s he's going to have to pick up even more of the slack. Better to get it figured out how before it gets worse.

Pregnancy is exhausting! I agree that you should probably discuss this with DH before it gets worse. Maybe show him some of the things from the bump that explain about exhaustion?
  • The men don't get it and it's hard to explain to them that even though you were fine yesterday you're drop dead beat today. DH actually called me lazy in my first tri. My MS was so horrible that I did well to go to work every day. I literally sobbed which made him feel horrible and realize I wasn't just BSing him to not have to do anything.
  • My husband also jokes that I fake it when I'm too nauseated and want to be in bed. I feel a little hurt that he is not supportive sometimes. I remind him that if he were in my shoes, he wouldn't last a week and he agrees. But if you are feeling super exhausted, your iron levels could be low (anemia).
