Any other moms out there have trouble with cystic acne? My face is breaking out on my chin horribly! I don't know what types of options I have that are safe for the baby. The acne got bad a couple months after stopping the pill and has continued to progress since finding out I am pregnant. I will be 6 weeks on Wednesday.
Re: Acne/cystic acne
Second I have cystic acne it got really bad in the first trimester and then at the very end of my two pregnancies. I hate using any acne cream because of the chemicals in it. I went to my dermatologist and they actually lanced the really painfull ones but other than that I pretty much had to suck it up with warm compresses and calamine lotion.
I don't have cystic acne but during my last pregnancy my skin was worse than its ever been. I wish I knew the answer because it seemed nothing can combat what these hormones do to us. Mine was also mainly on my chin and I've already started breaking out horribly. I use make up as little as possible.... keep hands away from face if possible. I hope its not too terrible for you
