    Cycle Status: 3dpiui. Luckily, baking, wrapping, last minute shopping, and family stuff is keeping me occupied!

    QotW: When I was 15 or 16, I had been taking guitar lessons for a few years and really wanted an electric guitar. I didn't think my parents would get me one though, so it wasn't even really on my radar. Christmas morning, my sister and I opened all our presents, and then there was one tiny one left - it looked like a ring box or something, and my mom handed it to me and said, "oh, it looks like there's one more for you." I opened it and in it was a guitar pick and a note that said "If you want to start a garage band, you have to start in the garage..." I ran to the garage and there on an instrument stand was a beautiful pearly white electric guitar with a big red bow on it! I think my squeals resonated through all of Los Angeles... :)

    @ErikaMG-- awwww...that is such a sweet story. It sounds like one of those heartwarming holiday commercials! I don't have anything that compares to it...when I was 9 my parents got me a Nintendo and I freaked out. I still love playing Super Mario.

    Cycle Status : waiting for my next cycle to start so I can do the FET. Box of meds arrive tomorrow!

    Hi ladies!  Sorry I've been so MIA the past few weeks...Hanukkah, final papers, Christmas prep kicked my butt this year. I turned in my last paper on Friday and had a super busy weekend with the family but now I'm gearing up for a nice two week vacation before school starts up again!  

    Cycle status:  Still not actively TTC, our adoption profile has been live for 3 weeks now.  I know we most likely have a long wait ahead of us but I keep dreaming we'll get a call for an emergency placement!  Patience is not my thing...

    IUI #1 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IUI #2 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IUI #3 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!!  Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
    FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
    Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!

    Cycle Status: CD 10...no treatment this month as we are gearing up for IVF next month hopefully but are trying at home. So we are baby dancing every other night until I get a positive OPK and then we will do every night for a few days.  Meeting with the RE next monday to discuss our treatment plan for IVF.  

    QOTW:  I don't know what the best gift I've given or received was...I am trying to think but nothing stands out..is that horrible? I know I have received many great things but nothing that amazing that really stands out and same for giving.  I know I have done some cute creative things for my DH when we first started dating but  I can't remember what they are now.

    Cycle Status: clomid 100 cd 4-8. Currently CD 18 (or cd17 because I started really late on Dec 4th and I'm debating not calling that day 1) and had mid cycle monitoring Thur - cd14 and today. On Thursday I had been having pain on the right and I had follicles measuring 11, 12, 17, and 19. They seemed to think I had a possibility of 3 mature follicles when I would return but I've never had successes with 12s begire so I was doubtful and hopeful because we got at least 2 follicles this month. Over the weekend I had no pain and no signs of ovulation and no positive OPTs. But early this morning the pain in my right ovary started up again and the ultrasound showed a 21 and a 23. So sloooow growers. But growers. The nurse said they grow about 2mm a day. I guess mine took the weekend off because by now that means they'd be 25s and 27s. I revisit again Wednesday in hopes that they can confirm ovulation actually occurred and determine my date for home testing for hcg.

    QotW: What was one favorite holiday gift you've received or given? A few years ago instead of buying a present, my grandmother gave me the costume jewelry purse she carried to her prom circa 1940. With it she wrote a note about the story behind it. It was both family history and a family heirloom.

    IVF #2.2 May 2015 - horrible response to micro lupron flare protocol: 3R, 3M, 3F. 3dt of 2 Grade 3 embies. BFFN. 

    BFP #7 (beyond surprised again!) 4/26/16. EDD 1/5/17. beautiful betas!!!! and then near-fatal hemorrhagic corpus luteum. turns out baby was ectopic after all; another lap 5/6 (@24dpo).

    2 clomid cycles, 3 hybrid clomid/bravelle IUI's = 4 BFN/1 CP@ 5.5 weeks
    IUI #6 -Follitism IUI cycle converted to IVF and back to IUI-4 mature, 3 maybe mature = BFP!!   DS Born 9/2014
    TTC#2 
    IVF #1 9/15 Antagonist- 19 R 1F (Frozen day 1 @ 2PN stage) Diagnosed with SER aggregates in 13/19 eggs after failed fertilization
    IVF #2 11/15 Antagonist w/ICSI  (Higher stims & Letrosole added last minute on stim day 7)- 39R, 24M (20/24 SER free), 15F (14/15 SER free & all frozen @ 2PN stage) 
    FET#1 Cultured all 16- 2pn embryos to day 5- transferred 1 good hatching blast and 1 early blast on 1/28- None to freeze - beta 2/5

    Sorry I have been MIA.  I am hoping now that Christmas is over I can have more free time!!  I am on lupron currently and have my suppression check on Wednesday.  If all looks good I start estrogen patches on New Years Day.  We are doing the FET prep just in case my 16 day 1 embroys do not grow to day 5 for PGS testing/refreezing, and we have to do a day 3 transfer untested.  Hopefully, I get at least 6 that grow to day 5 for testing, and then we would do a SET of a tested embryo in Feb/March and all this prep is unnecessary.  We weren't eligable for a fresh day 3 transfer after IVF #2 due to lining concerns, so we had to freeze on day 1 and wait to culture them until I would be able to do it as a back up.  With my freak eggs SER eggs, no one knows how they will grow, so it is good that we are prepared for a day 3 transfer if necessary and we can't make it to day 5 for PGS testing.  I like that my RE is covering all bases and giving me the best odds.
