Unless there are objections I figured this will be the last time I post a meal plan monday. Someone else is welcome to take it over! There just hasn't been much interest in it over the last few weeks.
At any rate, what are you cooking up this holiday week?
M: Chicken and green beans Tu: Elk tacos W: Hopefully dinner out Th: Christmas Eve with my in-laws F: Christmas with my family S: Chicken? Su: Chicken?
@likeabel: Elk tacos sound really interesting! Elk isn't something that's readily available where I live, so I've never had it. How does it compare to venison, if at all?
I don't really meal plan because I cook what I feel like that day but I have a general idea for the week usually plus favorites on hand if I'm not up to something more involved. Tonight was pork tenderloin, rice and peas with crusty bread. I also have a corned beef waiting patiently for me to stop being grossed out by beef. Wednesday is the H bday so hopefully we'll eat out Thursday finger foods Friday ham and potatoes with carrots has been requested Saturday we travel so airport food
I didn't post last week because I was out of town. :-) I love this post!!!
Monday: Chicken Enchiladas Tuesday: Chinese Take Out with my bestie Wednesday: Ham and Cheesy Potatoes Thursday: Ham Sandwhiches and German Potato Salad Friday: Prime Rib!! Saturday: Probably Steak and veggies
I really, really want to post on these threads! But my appetite has just been completely nonexistent. I'm still just kind of eating whatever sounds good at that exact moment, otherwise I can't eat.
Monday: 4-cheese ravioli Tuesday: taco Tuesday dinner out Wednesday: Chinese food most likely Thursday: brisket, scalloped potatoes and green beans Friday: Christmas dinner with family Saturday: leftovers!!
M: black bean and goat cheese quesadillas and sweet potato fries T: going out with some girlfriends to a tapas place W: bacon, eggs and a potato pepper onion mix .. Yum breakfast for supper T: appetizers! F: turkey, perogies, stuffing, cabbage rolls, salad.. Etcetcetc

My husband hunted it last fall so there's a large supply in my freezer (almost gone, finally!) it's very lean so it can dry out but isn't gamey at all like venison is.
Okay, okay I'll keep it going! I was just worried I was talking to an empty room. Maybe it will be a good New Year's resolution for everyone to meal plan! Plus we'll all be out of the first trimester and hopefully up for eating again!
I love this thread but have been awful about meal planning lately because things have been hectic. Mon: Pigs in a Blanket Tues: Beef stew Weds: Leftover Thurs: Not sure. We will be having Christmas with my grandparents. Fri: Pancakes and bacon. (It's our own little family tradition to have breakfast for dinner in our pajamas on Christmas) Sat: We're doing another Christmas get together that morning so probably leftovers from that.
January Siggy Challenge: Why I don't shop at Walmart
Yes, I like this thread too! Been having some wicked food aversions to protein lately which has made our normal meal planning tough.
S: gluten free pasta and veggie sauce M: falafel and a side salad T: breakfast for dinner (homemade waffles and scrambled eggs) W: Grilled cheese and tomato soup T: Dinner with family (ham, potatoes, veggies, etc) F: Dinner with family (beef rib roast and twice baked potatoes) S: dinner with family (chicken Alfredo lasagna)
