Cholestasis

Has anyone else been struggling with this? The itching is unbearable!

    I'm itching like crazy for the past few days and just googled it - I'm hoping it's not obstetric cholestasis, obviously, but will call the doctor in the morning. It's weird though, some websites make it sound like no big deal, others are like, "your baby will probably die".

    Ooh, I'm sorry to hear you have this! A close friend had it with both of her pregnancies, and it was horrible. Both her babies were delivered by 37 weeks, and both spent a fair amount of time in the NICU. It can be very, very serious. We all itch in pregnancy, but if anyone thinks they might have choleostasis they nées bloodwork done ASAP.
