  Congrats!! I have to wait until I'm 19 weeks for my anatomy exam also. @alw12290
  How come some OB offices will do a sonogram at 16 and others they make you wait? I have my 16 1/2 week appointment on Thursday and they won't do a sonogram. Only let me listen to the heartbeat. Why is that?

  @jsimmo2010 We personally are paying for the earlier ultrasound so we can find out before DH deploys. Otherwise we'd be waiting for our 20 wk anatomy scan. My OB offered it the same day as my next appt for $50.

  @jsimmo2010 my 16th week appointment was about five minutes! I wanted to find out so bad but yah the anatomy is really to see how progression of baby is me if there are any defects so it is much more accurate at 20. I am so jealous of all the other mommies for finding out the gender so soon.

  I am right here with you sister. My appt is 1/12, and I'll be 19 weeks. My OB wouldn't do it any sooner.
