What sounds good for breakfast?

SO and I are struggling with breakfast most days because I don't want to eat anything so ladies...share what you think is good for breakfast. Candy is fine even! Whatever sounds good literally! I'm losing weight at this point so my Endo said I can eat what I like.

Re: What sounds good for breakfast?

  • I went to Panera this morning and had a sausage, egg, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel with coffee AND a cinnamon crunch scone. I regret noting. GIVE ME ALL THE BREAD. :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:

  • I eat oatmeal, Greek yogurt and raspberries every morning. On weekends I like chocolate chip pancakes smothered in too much butter.
  • I cooked cheese biscuits, eggs with cheese, and soy bacon!!!! So yummy.
  • I had cold pizza.  It was fabulous.

  • Potato, bacon and egg hash covered in Sriracha is what I ate today. DH and Ds enjoyed homemade pancakes, eggs and bacon.

  • I did nofat vanilla yogurt and a can of mandrian oranges...

I would have preferred the donuts listed above...
    Or pancakes...
    -drools-
  • Chicken biscuit and iced coffee from chick fil a
  • I've been having oatmeal for the last few months as its one of the only things that fills me up for a while. However, I made some eggless cookie dough for lunch yesterday, so that's an option...
  • Belgian waffle with any kind of fruit and whipped cream!
  • Scrambled eggs with cheese and hot sauce, and toast with cinnamon. I have GD, so that's my go to every morning!!

  • A little burrito with a fried egg a piece or two of bacon and a little cheese.
  • I had the last of the gingerbread cookies I made but lately it's been a bagel with lots of butter.
  • How about a yummy decaf holiday latte from Starbucks (or coffee place of choice- God forbid those red cups!) and a piece of their delicious pumpkin bread?? Mmmmm....
  • SO knew how much I've been wanting pizza, so he got up and made pizza for breakfast.  Sausage, pepperoni, red/green/yellow bell peppers, onion, and mushrooms.  He even made the dough.  That sucker was almost 3 inches thick!  Amazing!

Normally, I have a green monster smoothie (spinach, strawberries, pineapple, greek yogurt, etc.), except Tues/Wed when it's bacon and eggs.

  • Ok so I am officially starving now! I <3 breakfast food. My favorite is french toast or toast with butter and an unhealthy amount of cinnamon and sugar on top... mmmmm...
  • I was pretty healthy today and had two fried eggs and some vanilla Greek yogurt. And two doughnut holes because I ate the rest yesterday hehe.

  • The only thing that I can stomach for breakfast is rice Chex or corn Chex and then I eat something more substantial a couple hours later
  • Honey Nut Cheerios and a huge glass of OJ. But this morning I had an egg, cheese, avocado and spinach bagel from panera and two donuts for a "snack" later. It was glorious.
  • We eat tiny healthy breakfasts all week, Saturday is splurge day. We had french toast with whipped cream and syrup and peppered bacon. Amazing.
  • I've been having green smoothies but yesterday DH made a burger with an egg on it and it was delicious. This was a late breakfast btw...

  • Some of my go to's during the week are: oatmeal cooked with craisins, bacon or ham egg and cheese on toast or bagle, scrambled eggs with salsa and cheese, pb&j on toast, cream cheese and jam on toast.

Weekends I like to do something more involved like waffles, pancakes, french toast or homemade baked gf donuts coated in cinnamon and sugar (I can't eat any commercial ones because I have celiac disease so this is a big treat for me!)
  • @MrsB915 I don't have my gluten sensitivity right now (a positive part of pregnancy!), but what brand of gf bread do you use?

Whole grain English muffin with peanut butter and a side of cottage cheese. I have GD so that has been my go to. But we are headed out for pancakes with Santa this morning!

  • Starbucks decaf latte and a fruit cup have been my breakfast for the last month. Lasts me about an hour until I scavenge for leftovers in the fridge from the night before. But today I have a huge box of homemade sausage rolls, mini quiches and brownies from my party yesterday, score!
  • This morning I've had a peanut butter and banana toastie with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Think that's going to be my go to breakfast for a while now, it was soooo good!
  • I just bought stuff and for the past few days have been having: vanilla yogurt with strawberries and raspberries and granola.
  • The only thing I can keep down in the mornings are either granola bars (as long as they have chocolate) or fruit-flavored oatmeal. Haha. Everything else makes me want to gag!
  • Grapefruit, greek yogurt, granola and a banana for breakfast this morning.  I made a bacon and sausage overnight egg casserole over the weekend since SO is a meat lover and it was pretty delicious!
  • Most mornings I have an english muffin (or toast) with honey and peanut butter. I was eating a greek yogurt with it but get full/sick too fast these days. Now I eat the toast in the morning with my toddler and then the yogurt an hour or two later when I get hungry.
I've been making quiche about once a week as well. We use them for two meals and are super easy. I usually make it the night before after DS goes to bed and then we reheat it for 10 to 15 minutes in the oven in the morning. Lately I've been doing ham, swiss, caramelized onion and spinach in the quiche but sometimes I'll throw in peppers, bacon, broccoli (pretty much whatever random veg/protein is in left in the fridge).

I have to eat tiny meals or I get sick/heartburn/nausea. This usually means I am ravenous by morning and often eat half a granola bar while I'm preparing the actual breakfast.
