I know this is a silly post, but does anyone 'feel' or have a hunch they are carrying twins?
My Mom is an identical twin and I always thought I would have twins.
My Wondfo pregnancy test the day of my missed period was as dark as the control line and with my previous 2 pregnancies it was not. I brushed it off to variation in levels between pregnancies. Today I had an order come from H&M. I had ordered a pair of cute baby sweatpants, and there were 2 pairs put in my package

A few minutes later I got an email about how to know if you are expecting twins. Yikes! I know my chances are 1% or so, but just curious if you ladies had a hunch as well?
Re: Twins anyone?
I don't know if I could handle twins! I guess I'll find out at my first appointment on 5 Jan.
with the chance of having twins.
I for sure thought I was having twins- the ms this time is nuts. But ultrasound reveals this lo hates me and is just making my life hell for the sake of it.
Little boy due July 31st 2016
Pregnancy tests detect the hcg hormone. And you produce more hcg with twins. The levels start out small and grow. An early pregnancy test with a more pronounced line probably indicates more hcg. I myself took two pregnancy tests 2 days apart and the line definitely got darker on the second day as my hcg grew. If you have super dark line super quick, it could mean super high hcg and multiples.
Not many people know why some women have more pregnancy symptoms than others. But multiple babys is definitely associated with more pregnancy symptoms.
Both of these I read in reputable sources, but even a quick internet search will verify:
"Nausea and vomiting can be more of a problem with twins. You will have higher levels of the pregnancy hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which may trigger morning sickness (PRODIGY 2008, Tamba 2009). In the early stages of pregnancy, higher levels of the hormone progesterone can make you feel short of breath."
You don't always produce more HCG with twins. Plenty of twin pregnancies have had hcg levels in the singleton range and singletons in twin range. There are a lot of factors that play into the darkness of a line. Concentration of urine, dates could be off, dye in the test, type of test, etc. Even the interpretation of what is a dark line is subjective. To say that your line on a pregnancy test is indicative of possible twins is far reaching. Eventually, all of our test will get super dark and we are not all having twins. I think statements like that just get women's hopes up.
However, receiving two pairs of baby pants when ordering one is a definite sign:) That is cute.
TTC since November 2015
BFP #1 12/17/15 - MC 1/28/16
BFP #2 4/22/16 - EDD 12/30/16
That's funny about receiving two pairs of pants in the mail! A few days before I got my BFP, my mom, DH and I all had a dream where I got pregnant and gave birth to a girl. It was eery. I'll be even more freaked out if we end up having a girl!
