Hey I'm not looking for anyone to blast me with the who guidelines or anything. My dr and I felt my lo was ready to start solids so we did last night. I just want to share my experience. We started with pureed apples and he loved it. Took a little getting used to , pushed it out once or twice but after a few tries he was opening up wide and trying to grasp the spoon to suck the food off! He started to kick his legs alot which means he's happy which made my husband and I happy. Lo will be 4 months next week. Looking forward to all the new foods he can try!
Re: Started Solids
When feeding him we keep a bottle next to him to help him wash down the food and he's doing great. Also he likes the food warmed up only. If it's room temperature he hates it.
Just a tip for Moms who are doing foods. Stick with a certain kind for a few days-a week before switching it up. It helps pick out possible intolerances and allergies. DS1 had a really hard time with berries until he was over a year and would get terrible diaper burns. They were so bad that my pediatrician sent us to an allergist, it was helpful to know exactly what was causing the problem.
