Hope all you ladies are enjoying your little ones or hanging in there for the last weeks of your pregnancies.
I feel like I have to share this small piece of advice for post partum. I have suffered from impacted stools in the past and have just reached my 10th day post delivery without a poop. I was terrified!
I tried colace, coffee, etc. but sometimes it's hard to eat/drink the first week (too exhausted, busy, appetite changes, whatever) and I have been crying every day from the constipation pressure.
Anyway, to get to the point -
COUNTER PRESSURE!!
I have a third degree tear and believe me putting pressure on it sounded like a nightmare. But after 10 days I decided to try and it's a dream come true.
Please please ladies - if you're hurting and nervous about the poop but are also nervous about touching anywhere near the stitches, please try it. Use a paper towel thing from the hospital, spray some dermoplast and just hold the stitches. It sounds more painful than it is but once you start holding it stops hurting and you can give that little push you need without fear.
I am so unbelievably relieved now and I really don't want you ladies to hurt like I did so please if nothing else works just give it a shot.

Happy you got to poop. Seriously. Constipation sucks and I just can't imagine being impacted. Ouch.
