January 2016 Moms

It's the little victories that make me happy these days.

The way I've been running to the bathroom these days, I was genuinely worried I'd miss a pretty big chunk of the movie. Luckily I was wrong (and hubby no longer has to fear my water breaking during the opening scene, haha!)

Any other random little "wins" to report? :)

  • I enjoy the meme ;) I went to my dad's company holiday party last night and lasted til midnight! Was really fun to watch everyone else get wasted this year :)

  • I was happy I slept for 2.5 hours last night before I had to get up to pee!
(I hope to make it through Star Wars next weekend!)
  • I'm lurking from D15, but I'm surprised that I haven't seen anything else yet on the boards about making it to/through Star Wars! I saw it on Thursday and had to get up once and crawl across a whole row. I did my best to time it at a less crucial time and of course once I got to the restroom, I didn't have to go as badly as it felt like. I watched a few minutes from the aisle before disturbing everyone again on my way back in. But yesterday I saw it again and made it all the way through!!!!

I would have gladly waited to see it if my son came early, but I was so excited that I got to go to opening night (and not wait in line. Yay, reserved seats!)

Jealous! I had to pee 2 times during that movie haha. Thankfully we got in the theater early enough that I picked an aisle seat. It was more for DH than me but we had a great little date before this kiddo comes!

Edit bc I feel like you all need to know: if you have a chance to get the bacon gouda fries from Wendy's... DO IT. you're welcome in advance.
  • I didn't make it through Star Wars without having to pee, and I also fell on my friend twice because I couldn't squeeze past. But, my win is that I managed to stand in the 'line' (can of sardines) for nearly two hours beforehand! And complain less than the teenager next to me.

I also stayed up until past midnight for 2 nights in a row! (Movie, then party)

I haven't killed anyone or anything (yet). My dogs are clingy, whiney jerks, SO can't keep his eyes peeled, DS is teething, and SD is in some weird (all weekend long) preteen hormonal, emotional meltdown...

    That counts, right?

Edit: now that I know how to gif, I feel like it is necessary to add one...
  • I had my husbands moms side christmas dinner today. While I get along with them really well, they like the wine. A lot. They were so loud and kept hanging off of me and rubbing my belly. They were so obnoxious and my feet were so swollen and they gave me a head ach. My victory: not punching anyone.
  • I think we may have actually picked a name for this little boy. Or rather, we may have found something that I didn't hate two hours after we decided we liked it. I've been having issues with naming this kiddo. I think we did it though! And with a week and a half to go too!

@kaos16  Alexander Joseph. We can call him Alex or AJ both of which I like. DH is reserving putting too much thought into this name because of how wishy washy I've honestly been about names. We seriously did not have this much trouble naming DS1, he was named 4 months before he was born! I don't know what was wrong with me this time around. But there it is and I still really like it. Win!
