We just call him/ her Little + an abbreviation of our last name. But DH also keeps saying "he," which I yell at him about. He's going to be bummed if baby is a girl--I know he's trying not to be, but he really wants a boy to pass on his name.
Married May 2014 DD born August 2016 Baby #2 due December 2017
We are trying to figure this out. DH like "Lil Biskit" yes spelled like that. I found "Cletus the Fetus" which make me laugh, but I don't think we have officially decided
At the moment I say bean. But I expect that to change once I feel pregnant. My first child was my minter or baby dino a lot because my stomach was horrible loud. Like scary growls constantly hahaha
I've been saying poppy seed since that's how big it is but I think we might start using OH's nickname and put baby in front of it. It's a play on his last name so it makes sense. Haven't thought too hard about it.
In my thoughts I call it Baby C (our last initial is C). In discussion it varies. I called it "blastocyst" when that's what it was because it sounded funny. I mostly call it an "it". Honestly, I'm not much of one for cutsie nicknames (no hate to those of you who like them! Just not my thing).
We have been calling lo 'bean'. Our ultrasound technician also said 'Congratulations. You are officially parents to a tic tac'. So it swaps between bean and tic tac.
I've been going with Pip, Bean & Peanut. Used interchangeably. I'm still somewhat surprised at the whole situation so coming up with a proper nickname is a bit beyond me!
We are calling our little one Snowflake we used sweetpea for our son Noah who was born still a year ago 12/22 and didn't want to reuse that so positive in December = Snowflake
I didn't have a nickname til our first ultrasound last week (6w5d) and baby looked like a little nugget... I have been referring to baby as nugget since.
I've been calling ours a little alien.... Because that's totally what it looks like for awhile lol. But SO thinks that its mean.... So I've been calling it Baby J
We found out on thanksgiving that I was pregnant and DH said something about a sweet potato so we have been calling it sweet potato ever since. We told my in laws the other day and they've been calling it a yam.
I looked on baby sizer.com and it said last week that my baby was the size of a tic tac. Then we went and had a sono and sure enough, it looks like a tic tac. It had stuck with my dad. I'm betting my dad is going to call this little bit tic tac even once it's here!
Re: Nicknames for baby?
my first pregnancy I called dd NEMO - just keep swimming.
this pregnancy, I had a frozen embryo transfer (IVF) since its frozen I call him/her Olaf. :
