20 weeks and STILL throwing up?

Anyone else dealing with this?  I feel slightly better than I did a month ago but I'm still throwing up at least every other day.  I have Zofran but doesn't always help and diclegis didn't help me at all.  I am just getting so frustrated.  I threw up, then proceeded to cry over the frustration, which in turn caused me to throw up again!  I cannot wait for May so my LO is here and I can go back to my life of keeping everything down!!

Re: 20 weeks and STILL throwing up?

  • Hugs for you because I know how you're feeling. I still take Zofran every morning (although I want to start trying to stop this week). I feel successful because now I only throw up maybe once a week and it's not as forceful or big as they were. I mostly worry about experiencing dehydration because of the vomiting.
But just know you're not alone.

  • 17 weeks here... Still nauseous almost 24/7. Am taking diclegis twice a day and the last time I vomitted was 5 days ago.
Everyone keeps telling me that once baby comes you'll forget about all of this. Well excuse me, but that doesn't help me NOW. Ha
  • I'm 18 weeks and still sick almost every morning. Not nearly as bad as it was in the beginning at least.

  • I had to leave a yoga class early last night because I didn't feel good, didn't even make it the one block home and puked in the street! Not cool, baby, not cool. I'll be 19 weeks on Monday.
  • Same boat. Not throwing up as much, but still nauseous. Diclegis didn't work at all for me either. What seems to work better is taking the zofran right before I go to sleep at night. It worked with my last pregnancy and seems to be working this time too. I still feel crummy but at least am not throwing up every morning anymore
  • I'm finally on the upswing, but I've had the most stressful week between work and closing on a new house. I noticed by Thursday my nausea was back in full effect, and I've noticed that in the past as well that the more stressed I was, the worse my nausea and aversions were.
  • Yep, same here too.  Although I'm 17weeks, still nauseous almost 24/7, but his week I "only" threw up twice!  I have been weaning down on the zofran, and I am not taking diclegis because I does nothing for me - except cost a lot.  While I did eventually stop throwing up last pregnancy 21-22 ish weeks, I was still somewhat nauseous and food never tasted good until I delivered.  Then I was like, "this ____ tastes amazing! Where have you been all my life?!?"  (insert any food).  I also couldn't get rid of the nasty taste in my mouth until I delivered.  Halfway (or almost) there, ladies!

  • Yep, still puking daily at almost 20 weeks of I don't take my diclegis. I stopped throwing up at 16 weeks last pregnancy. Ran out of diclegis yesterday, so spending the day hugging the toilet. Fun!
  • Yep. Almost 18 weeks and still getting sick though it's not the all day sickness I had in the beginning. And yes, it's true. You really do forget about all this after you have your baby. I swore with DS that I would never forget how awful my "morning" sickness was. Eating, or rather puking, my words 3 years later!
  • Yep. I'm 20w5d and if I don't take diclegis I still throw up multiple times a day. I will say that if I DO take diclegis I feel much better than I did first trimester, when not even anti-nausea drugs seemed to help. I am hoping that in the next month or two I'll finally be past the sickness. Hang in there, and I totally feel your pain on just wanting to fast-forward to May so you don't have to feel sick all the time!
  • I'm vomiting like every 2 weeks. But only because gum and ice water keep it at bay for that long. I should buy stock in trident. Even reading this post was rough. I skipped alot of them, lol. It will get better!
  • 18 weeks here and I have thrown up every day since I hit second tri. I'm with you, it's no fun. Hopefully it'll subside for all of us very soon.
