To buy or not to buy....

Anyone ever have inaccurate gender results from the Harmony Blood test? Especially if it comes back boy- I assume it is probably pretty accurate. Just curious before I begin going crazy shopping!! :)

Re: To buy or not to buy....

  • If it's a blood test done by your doctor then it's 99% accurate, so I think you're good. It's way more accurate than the anatomy scan.

  • I definitely wouldn't worry about the genetic tests - they are literally analyzing chromosomes! Unless it's a rare clerical error, I highly doubt they would be wrong!

  • I had the Verifi test (same thing as Harmony). It came back healthy boy and at my AS, it was confirmed (we got a crotch shot, clearly boy).

Boys are hard to mess up because of the Y chromosome and you don't have a Y chromosome.
  • My doctor said it's more accurate than an ultrasound since it's analyzing DNA.  My report says the error rate is 0.1% so that's good enough for me.  Go shopping!!
