I never used a wipe warmer. My fiancé wanted to get one but I told him our sons are not princes they will survive lol but we did warm them up in our hands like pp have said with our first. Now we just wipe him he gets upset sometimes but he has to get use to it eventually u can't use a warmer forever. Specially when u leave the house.
And I only warm them in my hands because a friend swore by it for keeping her son from peeing on her. So far I've only been peed on once and he was throwing a his murderous fit of hunger, then spit-up everywhere so I was done for anyway lol.
I live in upper New England, I figure my girl has got to get used to having a cold bum now because that's at minimum a quarter of our year. Sorry kiddo.
I got a Munchkin Warm Glow. And I don't know if its because its cheap but its not that great. It just BARELY warms them up. But it was a gift and it doesn't hurt, so I use it.
No warmer here. Kiddo gets a cold wipe, I may warm it in my hand if I'm feeling generous. Otherwise I just look at it as payback for all of the 4am bitchfits he throws.

My sister bought us the Munchkin mist wipe warmer. I told her it wasn't necessary for him to have warm wipes but she insisted. The wipes stay warm and don't dry up. LO seems to enjoy the warm wipes though.
I make cloth wipes and need a warmer to keep the coconut oil liquid. I bought both of mine new but secondhand off Facebook buy and sell groups. The Munchkin one wasn't that great and isn't aesthetically that great either. The Prince Lionheart one I prefer. I use it without the "pillows" and it works fine ... the bottom wipe is always dry and browns a bit though. Not a necessity if you have regular wipes ... I find they are cool by the time you get to baby's bottom anyways.
I thought wipes warmers were rediculous and didn't put it on our registry, but dh was surprisingly shocked at this and went online and ordered one. It lasted two years exactly before not warming anymore (we purchased several new pads in that time). We're now on our second lo and got a new wipes warmer.
We didn't register for one but went out and got one when our baby screamed at every single diaper change. And you know what? It's amazing. She likes diaper changes now because of the warmth. We have a prince lion heart one. We thought it was ridiculous too but it has really helped and it also doubles as a night light. If you want one, go get it. I thought it was well worth it.
