1cm 50%...

in 3rd Trimester
I'm 35 weeks, and had my first child at 35 weeks.(10 years ago) I found out today I am 1cm 50% thinned out. How long were at 1 before you went into labor?

    With my first child, I was at 1 cm at 32 weeks and stayed that way for 5 weeks before active labor started.  I'm 34 weeks now, and at 1 cm, and it really doesn't mean a whole lot.  We could go into labor today or stay this way for weeks.  It's anybody's guess.

    It's common for STMs to stay at 1cm for a LOOOONG time. Good luck.

    I was at 1cm and 50% for several weeks before DD was born. I thought she'd never come out lol. Good luck, though!

    I was at 1/50% from 39 weeks (the first time I had a cervical check) till the day before I delivered at 41+1. Dilation and effacement doesn't mean much unless it's something they're watching due to early labor symptoms. You can go from closed to delivering the next day, or stay at 3 cm for weeks.

    This! Everyone is different. Some ladies walk around 3cm dilated for weeks, some are 0/0% for weeks. There is no way to tell.

    Yup, that was me with #2.  I got checked at 35w and was 2cm dilated.  The doctor thought i was going to definitely come before my due date.  and I did but only by 5 days.  so anything is possible.  Don't worry...just go with the flow.  sometimes i think cervical checks only make people more crazy.  ignorance is bliss :)

    1.) Every pregnancy and labor are completely individual. So knowing what others experienced really means nothing for how it will go for you.

    2.) I walked in at 5cm dilated with both kids. My daughter took 4 hours and my son 24 hours of labor. Its completely random even between two different pregnancies in the same woman.

    Like others said all pregnancies are different. But to answer your question, I was 3-4 cm for almost 3 1/2 weeks with my first and about 2 weeks with my second.

    Oh I'm not in any hurry. I want him to stay in until at least 37 weeks. My first pregnancy was so weird that I wanted to see what others experience was knowing everyone is different. ☺☺ I appreciate all of your feedback.

    That's pretty standard. I was at 4 for 3 weeks. It really doesn't mean anything.
