intense headaches

I'm having a problem... first off, I'm 32+5 and i toss and turn all night, from right to left and so on. the past few days I've been waking up with incredibly painful headaches if i sleep on my right side too long. The only thing that helps is getting up or switching to my left side, then it goes away in 30 min or so. Any ideas? I'll call the doc tomorrow if i remember, it's just a matter of reminding myself to do it. Anyone else having this problem?

    My guess would be dehydration but it seems odd to me that it only happens when on one side. I'd ask your OB if they've heard of anything similar!

    Is your blood pressure elevated at all? With DD my preeclampsia started exactly like you're explaining. I thought it was from my sleeping position but ended up being induced at 37w1d because it was preeclampsia.

    I was going to mention preeclampsia. My midwife said to watch out for new types of intense headaches.

    I haven't checked my bp. I don't have a vehicle or anyone to watch my kids so its not easy to go get checked out

    I can't even make an effort to be coherent right now, they're just awful. This time I was just sitting in my chair and it happened out of nowhere. Nothing gets rid of them, they just go away after a while

    Does your husband have the car for work? If so, when he gets home, many places like Rite Aid and Walgreens have blood pressure machines where you can check your blood pressure.

    It sounds like you should really be checked out, as inconvenient as it would be.

    I agree with @Achae about getting checked out. if it is preeclampsia, you don't want to mess around with that. How's your vision? Are you seeing spots or anything out of the corner of your eyes?

    Yeah I see the little silver sparks throughout the day. Other than that my vision is fine. My eyes and ears are really sensitive during the headaches, like a migraine but sharper and shorter.

    I want to go get checked out, i just have no way to get there. With my first they were worried about pre e but with my second I was fine, and it never did develop.

    Is there anyone you can call for a ride? It sounds like you really need to get checked. You don't want to mess with strange pain like this, and if you have already been checked in your previous pregnancies about preeclampsia.
