Negative HPT After 2 Week Wait

Hi, I had my first IUI 2 weeks ago today and the pregnancy test was negative :( I was wondering if anyone has had a positive test after a negative one at the 2 week mark. Just curious if I should give up on this cycle and wait for the next one.
Met 2004, Married 2011, Trying since 2013. Info in spoiler:

Diagnosed with PCOS, later changed to unexplained anovulation due to high prolactin and normal testosterone levels
Him: 31
High sperm count (yay!) but also super high fluid volume (boo!)

    I am in the same boat. From everything I've read and seen I think I am going to count this cycle out and stop taking my progesterone suppositories and hope AF shows in the next few days.
    Sorry for your BFN this morning. It really does suck. FX that the next cycle is the one for both of us!

    I'm sorry about your BFN :(  My RE just says to test at 14dpiui and consider it a negative if it's a BFN on that day.  I think if you get a positive after the 14 day mark you are a major exception to the rule.  I've learned throughout this process to never expect or hope to be an exception, because it is rare.  Best of luck to you next month!

    When I started IUIs, I obsessively researched false negatives, especially since I started peeing on sticks at just 9 days post iui.  From what I read, if it's negative at 12 dpiui, it will probably stay negative.

    Over time, I learned to just wait until the 14th day to test, so that could be my definitive answer.

    At 14 days, I'm so sorry you got bad news, but the healthiest thing to do is to accept that it's negative, and prepare yourself for whatever the next step is on your path.

    This shit is hard.  I'm so sorry.
    Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
    Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
    TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
    2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
    Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
    Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!  
    fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! 
    Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

    Thanks everyone :) I guess I didn't think it would bother me as much if it wasn't positive on the first try, we've been trying for almost 3 years now so you would think I would be used to BFNs.

    You NEVER get used to them! It's like a slap in the face every time. I've seen +HPT on 16do so don't give up! And even if it is a BFN this month, STILL don't give up hope!

    I say if you can handle it jump right back in. We've been trying for over 7 yrs with no help. Last MO th was my first IUI. I didn't even make the beta test. 14dp trigger AF came an entire week early! Doctor did HPT with a BFN. I was devastated but I decided to jump back in on day 3 and I'm on the second round of IUI.     I'm so sorry you got a negative hun ! Ugh I swear everytime I see a negative it breaks my heart even more . Wishing you luck on your next round whenever you are ready !!

    August 2015: IUI: BFP. Chemical pregnancy :(
    October 2015: IUI: BFN
    January 2016: Egg retrieval: 10 frozen embryos!
    March 2016: FET Cycle- 2 embryos transferred!: BFP !

    Thank you all for your kind words! AF started this week so we are going through another cycle, my doctor is wanting to be more aggressive this cycle because with Clomid and Follistim I only had 2 decent sized follicles (and they took almost an extra week to get to that size) so here's hoping this cycle will be the one!

    GL with IUI #2!  A lot of times the 2nd or 3rd IUIs are more successful after doctors figure out the right meds for you.  Fingers crossed!!
