Pregnancy sac but no heartbeat

Hellozzz. I got pregnant via iui which was done on 12 nov 2015. My last menstrual period was on 27oct 2015. Today i.e. 17 th dec 2015 I was scheduled for my first ultra sound for cardiac activity. We did saw pregnancy sac but no heartbeat. What could dis mean?? Doc has also told us to come after one week for the same ultrasound. I dont knw what to do? Feeling so heartbroken

    If you had IUI roughly a month ago, then you're all of 6 weeks pregnant roughly, right? The heart starts beating around 6 weeks so its possible you just caught the pregnancy a bit early and the heart either isn't quite beating yet or was too faint to pick up. Is it possible that the heart will never beat? Always, but its also possible that you were just a few days early which is why the doctor is having you come back in a week to take a look.

    I agree that it could be too early to see anything. Also, trust your doctor, if they aren't worried you shouldn't be either. Lastly, if you have questions, contact their offices as they will have better answers for you than Internet strangers will.
