Back to TTC (TW)

edited December 2015 in August 2016 Moms
I spent last night in the ER and this pregnancy was a chemical one so I'm headed back to TTC. The ER doc had the nerve to say to me 'are you sure you were pregnant?' Well now that you mention it, maybe I was hallucinating the lines on all four of my tests. Gee thanks.

I do have a question, has anyone here had success getting pregnant the cycle after an early loss? I'm looking for silver linings.

Sorry for your loss. I had a super long cycle (35 days) the cycle after my early loss then conceived this LO. It will happen mama. I know that doesn't help because I've been there, when it feels so devastating. Time will pass. Huge hugs.
  • I haven't, but my sister had a chemical pregnancy and got pregnant with her daughter the cycle right after. I hope the same for you!
  • So sorry for your loss.

  • I have had 3 miscarriages this year, with my last one being a chemical. I then thought I was having an annovulatory cycle afterwards because I did not ovulate and I kept getting bfn's on tests. After going to a fertility doctor and getting diagnosed with aps, the doctor also did an ultrasound to check the shape of my uterus and he saw that I has just ovulated! A few days later I got a bfp. So no cycle after my chemical. I am trying not to get to excited though, I've only had bad luck. So I know how you feel, and it's hard for anyone to make it feel better. Stay busy and stay as positive as you can! I'm so sorry for your loss.
  • Sorry for your loss.  I had a mc Mar 12 and was pregnant April 12 just 4-6 weeks after my MC.  No cycle in between.  Some drs rec. waiting a month or two.  My OB just said that theres not a ton of evidence to support that there's truly a much higher risk of MC right after a MC, but obviously thats my word passed on from him.  He also said that women are notoriously fertile in the month post MC.   So glad we didnt take the book advice and wait a month or two in our case.  Cant imagine life without our fiesty little 3 year old!

  • I'm so sorry for your loss. I allowed myself to have a cycle first before trying again after my loss because I wasn't emotionally stable enough. I did end up conceiving this one six months after getting my positive with the first one though. I only tried for three cycles (two with temping). So I think it happened fairly fast afterward for me.
