Pregnancy sac but no heartbeat yet

Hellozzz. I got pregnant via iui which was done on 12 nov 2015. My last menstrual period was on 27oct 2015. Today i.e. 17 th dec 2015 I was scheduled for my first ultra sound for cardiac activity. We did saw pregnancy sac but no heartbeat. What could dis mean?? Doc has also told us to come after one week for the same ultrasound. I dont knw what to do? Feeling so heartbroken

    If you had an IUI on 11/12, then you should be 7 weeks and 1 day. I am going to be honest, things do not look promising. I will not say you are out, but I would be cautiously hopeful and be prepared for the worst

    I have a similar situation.  Based on LMP (11/3/15) I should be 6w4d. Today my first u/s only measured 5w5d. I'm going for blood tests Monday and another u/s Tues. The dr said I could have just ovulated later than I thought... but a wk later?  Did I lose it last week? She said they "are seeing the beginning of a pulse" but too early for a heartbeat. I'm still having symptoms (a little nausea/dizziness, sore boobs, menstrual type cramps, no spotting. Anyone go through this? I need help staying optimistic. 

    UPDATE: 2nd u/s 3 days later.  Now measuring about 6 wks. Saw a 104bpm heartbeat and a noticeably larger baby (considering it's only been 3 days!). Dr says hcg levels are great and going back for another u/s in 2 wks. Praying for the health and continued growth of all our little ones!

    I wouldn't make any assumptions until week 9. However I would be cautious about getting too hopeful just yet. I had a blighted ovum that was the same way and it was heart breaking.... Doesn't mean that's happening! Just don't get TOO hopeful just yet.
