I had my first appointment today along with an u/s. The dr said their machine was not good, very old... but he could not find or see anything in there. He also said I should have a full bladder (ten minutes after the nurse had me empty it!) 
I should be 6w3d today. Anyone else go in and not see anything yet??? Now I am getting nervous about sharing it with family on Christmas. He wants me to go back in two weeks.

    I'm sorry that happened... I have no words of wisdom, but with my first we didn't do an US until 8 weeks, and even then it was transvag so everything was visible.  The following week we did it with the wand on the belly and I saw everything... If the doctor didn't seem super concerned, I would try not to worry.

    That makes ZERO sense to go an abdominal ultrasound at 6w3d.  The heartbeat MAY be visiable on a freaking vaginal ultrasound (no way on abdominal).  If he isn't worried, I wouldn't stress.  Have you had bloodwork?

    I had a similar situation and everything was ok six days later. I wouldn't worry this early.

    There are a few things...

    Your uterus could be tilted and an abdominal ultrasound might not get a good view this early.

    Your dates could be off.

    I hope everything is ok.
