is anyone experiencing bad after taste when eating food or drinking liquids?

Any suggestions on how to handle bad after taste ?

  • Sour things helped me. Lemon seltzer was also my friend. This pregnancy, I had it most of 1st Tri, but seemed to go away. Last pregnancy, I had it 3rd Tri and hoping it doesn't come back. Good luck!

  • In 3rd tri with my son I had a constant metallic taste in my mouth. I just tried to suck on hard candies a lot like werthers or the sour head thingies

  • I randomly have days where my mouth tastes like soap. I have found eating crackers works best.
  • That taste is usually acid reflux.

  • It's common to have a weird taste (usually metallic) when pregnant. I had it bad last pregnancy. Not so much this time and I'm hoping it doesn't come back.

  • I've had a constant taste of rotting yeast in the back of my throat. It's worst in the morning (I think it must be phlegm related), and it seems to be getting better as I get out of the first trimester. Either way, it's terrible and NOTHING helps.
  • Likely from acid reflux! Tums, Zantac, Prilosec etc. can help with this.
  • I had it pretty bad when drinking water, so I started putting lemons or limes in my water! That helped a lot! And sucking on sour candies too!

  • Yes. I know I have acid reflux with this pregnancy. My mouth also feels dry all the time even when I'm drinking water.
