My parents will be here Christmas day through the 26th. I need lunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch again, and maybe dinner planned out. I think for our main meal on Christmas I am making a cranberry pork roast but not sure what else. I think I am making raspberry white chocolate mini-cheesecakes for one of the desserts but need another one. I think breakfast will be cinnamon rolls in some form. I'm just having a really hard time thinking of everything else. And since I do my grocery shopping on Fridays, I need to pick most stuff up this week.
Ideas and suggestions appreciated.
Re: NBR: Christmas food help
For lunches, we usually do soup and sandwiches.
Not thinking about dinners this year, we are having Chinese takeout with the entire fam this year - we always threaten to do it, and this year seems perfect
When I have lots of people like that I usually try to keep it kind of simple and do a lasagna and salad or something similar. Kind of depends how fancy you want to go. I just find its a crowd pleaser and easy to make to your taste. You could also use your leftovers from the Christmas dinner to make sandwiches.
For Christmas main meal we always have some protein (usually ham), potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad, and another side dish whether it's stuffing or pasta. And pie. Lots of pie

DD born 2013 (our miracle "you can't have babies" baby!)
I think the problem is there isn't a lot of people this year. Just my parents and the 3 of us (well, 2.5 since DD doesn't eat much). Usually I host my parents one day and DH's parents, brother, and SIL the next. So it's easier to figure out what I'm cooking as it is basically one meal, just parts of it done twice.
I think I am now leaning pumpkin gingerbread for the 2nd dessert as both my DH and my dad like that.
What do you think about doing the pork roast, etc. for the evening meal and maybe a meal of appetizers for lunch on Christmas?

I'm not much help with other meals since we're usually having leftovers from endless parties we've attended. And for breakfast it's generally just Krispy Kreme lol but seriously, pinterest saves my butt for every party I have. There's so many ideas and most things are easy to make!
So now I need ideas for appetizers. Any favorites?

Wrap a pickle spear and havarti cheese in an egg roll wrapper and fry. I've always just pan fried mine in olive oil. Cut in half at an angle and serve with ranch mixed with a little sriracha. Seriously my favorite.
Lunches: BLTs, egg or chicken salad, cold cuts something that's easy for you. Could also pick up a rotisserie chicken from the store and serve w/salad, I also like nigella Lawson's recipe for Mac and cheese which uses eggs and evaporated milk instead of making a roux it looks and tastes impressive but is very quick and easy!! I also like sausage and peppers sandwiches they taste great and are easy to make -you can sauté up peppers and onions in advance and warm up the day of, and cook the sausage stove top or in the oven for even less work (just flip it over half way thru cooking so both sides brown i like to use a little non stick spray for insurance too).
Breakfast: agree cinnamon buns are low stress, also second egg bakes, overnight French toast etc these things all feed a crowed, taste great and don't require you to stand over the stove for a long time!!!
If you want a dessert to go w/ lunches suggest you make up some of your own cookie dough in advance roll it so you can just slice off raw cookies for baking and freeze the dough in a ziplock- it will be home made w/ all the convenience of store bought ready-bake and you can prep in advance this weekend
All the best I'm sure it will be great!!!
