Ok ladies. I know the first thing that probably comes to mind when you hear "cytotec" is a medical induced miscarriage. For many in the infertility world, that's how they know this drug to be used. I recall being in cytotec back in college (00) for the year I had mono and was in Celebrex for neck pain from CMV and had horrible heartburn so we tried everything u til we finally stumbled upon Prilosec twice a day for my stomach. I don't have my medical records handy as one of my old physicians went out of business but I am certain I was on cytotec a good portion of that school year, if not longer. I've always thought of it as a stomach med so I've never even considered its potential implication with fertility. Is anyone here in the same boat as me? By chance has anyone taken a long course of cytotec for gastro issues and now find themselves with repeated infertility struggles? A search on the Internet keeps leading to previous miscarriage or abortion then later fertility struggles, not treatment for ulcers. I'll bring it up at my next appointment at my fertility clinic but I wanted to gather some research in advance. Thanks ladies!
