Anyone else feeling the struggle of "3rd trimester Christmas" wardrobe? Any suggestions? + it's supposed to be in the upper 60's around here on Christmas....not exactly the sweater and leggings combo I had anticipated.
It finally got somewhat cold here in southern Cali. It's been high 60s, low 70s. I've been wearing long sleeve body con dresses with trench coats and boots. For Christmas I'm wearing a white long sleeve dress (yes, very fitting) with some knee high black heeled boots.
I plan to just rock out some leggings and a maternity dress for Christmas Eve and I have a striped short sleeve shirt that I will pair with a red cardigan with some dress pants or jeans for Christmas Day. At this point I don't see the need to buy any additional maternity clothes that I would only wear for 8 more weeks. The warmer weather is nice because I haven't had to worry too much about wearing a winter coat that doesn't really fit anymore---but most of my wardrobe is winter maternity stuff, especially since I had a January baby the first time around.
I went out and got a cute fitting red quarter length sleeve cotton dress that goes to my knees (non maternity...since all maternity doesn't fit right or I just don't like it on me) with a cute black vest and some snow flake tights with my black shiney closed toe heels. For church on christmas eve since we go to a very fancy dinner after with all the extended family I have to really dress up which im still shopping for sadly. Thinking of a dark blue dress i found that kind of wraps around with a shall shear tights and same shoes. I hate dressing up I live in scrubs, yogas, and work out clothes 24/7 dresses are not me lol
I plan to wear my pajamas all day. Anyone who wants to make a comment can start growing their own human! (Plus I'm working in home all day at a clients house so it really doesn't matter)

We generally sit around and relax at home just us on Christmas so I'll be proudly sporting my pajamas too lol.
We're hosting Xmas and I still plan on wearing my normal everyday maternity attire. And if I'm uncomfortable in that, I'll break out the maternity yoga pants and a shirt (a likely outfit after the meal and during the cleanup).
I only need to get dressed up for Christmas Eve and I have had the hardest time.. Everything I bought online doesn't fit and the maternity departments in the few stores that actually carry the maternity clothes (including Destination Maternity) are pitiful.
Dear maternity clothes designers, it is possible for women over size 10 to get pregnant... Just because I'm on the bigger size doesn't mean I want to look like I'm wearing a tent, please design accordingly!!
I have a few pretty holiday dresses that actually still fit. I'll throw on some maternity tights and a pair of ankle booties, probably.
That's what I've been doing for work and holiday parties, although it's taking longer and longer to actually put on tights. It takes forever to get dressed these days! I really don't want to ask for my husband's help, but it's coming.
So I bought a dress for my h's work Christmas party this weekend, is a green with gold foil look to it 3/4 length sleeve pencil dress (non maternity) that really brings out my bump in a cute way mostly so his coworkers quit telling me how small I am (funny that we hate it when people tell us we're really big or really small)
But for actual Christmas, I have a pair of footie pajamas I plan on wearing to H's family Christmas eve party, as well as my side of the family's Christmas day brunch.
we have no where nice to go which I'm thankful for. Plus size tights are hard enough to find, I can't imagine trying to track down plus size maternity tights! At work I just wear leggings with my dresses and black flats because those and my uggs are the only footwear that fit, I could wear the same thing to somewhere nice but it's not really a great look in my opinion
Lucky for me I don't have to dress up. I'll prbly wear leggings and a nice tunic dress or sweater Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I just worry about it being too warm since its been 50 all week here in MI(last year this time was a blizzard) But I know my MIL keeps her house freezing on Christmas Eve so that's going to be good for once
4 out of 6 on Xmas eve and Xmas day are normal laid back but 2 of them are way dressier so I felt overwhelmed trying to decide. I actually got a non maternity sweater yesterday at oldnavy that's long for xmas day - plan on wearing leggings and then I have a lace black shirt for Christmas Day! Both days I'll have on maternity leggings or jeggings. If they have an issue with it I will gladly leave 6 in less than 48 hours means I'm ready for bed and my patience with a toddler will be thin.
H has some dressy shirts and he'll wear jeans.
Dd has a zillion hand me down dresses that have either never been worn or worn once so she will be looking adorable!
