My lo is 16 days.
Recovery wise I've been feeling pretty good. Maybe even great, lol.
Granted, I'm tired, but that obviously comes with the territory.
Anyways, what are you able to get done with your days?
Some days I feel a little note energetic and motivated. Usually those are days where lo is napping well.
But then days like today I feel kind of bad for not 'getting much done'.
I made dinner, packed a lunch for so tomorrow, took out the garbage, did laundry (and put it away, lol), and tidied our room. The rest of the day I had to carry or feed my inconsolable little guy.
Obviously he's my priority, but I feel like I should be doing more.
Any ideas on how to be or at least feel more productive?
What are you all able to get done during this time?
To those with other kids, I literally can't imagine your load!
I have taken ALL baby responsibility, and don't know if I'll ever be able to do this again!!
Edit. Newborn brain is worse than pregnancy brain.
Re: What are you getting done?
As my son got older, I was able to get more and more done during the day.
Before I had my baby, I had big plans about doing tons of knitting while on maternity leave and giving family scarves, hats, etc for Christmas. Well... That has not happened! Amazon is my new best friend for christmas shopping.

So nothing gets done most days. I might manage a load of laundry or running the dishwasher and maybe sweeping, but I'd much rather take a shower, go to the bathroom, or eat when I do manage to find that perfect moment where I can put him down.
Every day around 6:30 I get up to shower and get dressed while my husband is home. Throughout the day I surf the web and organize activities / bills (the holidays are keeping me super busy), take and edit pictures of my baby sometimes (usually week pics), go for a walk, run the bottle steamer at least once, do a load of laundry, make the beds, and tidy up after myself throughout the day. We have a meal delivery service for lunches and dinners on weekdays which is a godsend. We also have a cleaning lady come once a month to give everything a good scrub-down, but we're pretty tidy.
I did a little too much this week and my bleeding came back so I'm cutting my walks short and using the carrier a little less since she's so big.
Once my hubby gets home I tidy up. We are neat people in general so it's never too much work. We do laundry on weekends and we have a cleaning service every 3 weeks. I would like to be able to cook more, that's a goal I can work toward.
I do one load of laundry every day and put it away, load and unload the dishwasher everyday, clean up after my 2.5 year old, vacuum and do at least half an hour of school work.
On Mondays I clean bathrooms, Tuesdays I mop and clean deep clean the kitchen, Wednesdays I dust, etc. It's far easier to do one chore a day than dedicate a whole day to chores.
Usually manage to get a really hot shower in, which is pure bliss. Today I went to a BF Circle, it was our big outing of the week!!!
I probably get 2-3 loads of laundry done a week, and I've been reheating things i made and froze for dinners (but I'm almost out!) When DH is home from work and has his daddy-daughter time with Kiddo, I try to tidy up the house, on the days that I don't need that time to pass out from exhaustion!
I get nothing done, I made it to the grocery store today but he was screaming so I just got bread and milk and had to leave! I get so jealous with all you ladies who manage errands and household chores
Today, I managed to do dishes, my makeup, take a nap, and eat.
Pedi- how many times is she feeding a day?
Me- idk a lot
Pedi- like 6-8 times?
Me- um no probably like 30
