Diarrhea is a POSSIBILE indicator, but not definite. And there's really no specific time frame.

There are better indicators that labor is imminent or impending besides diarrhea. Contractions and bloody show for example.

I had diarrhea, bloody show and my face was swollen when I went into labor.

Diarrhoea can be due to a few things, could be you've eaten something funny, your hormones are changing, labour is near or you need fibre.
Ive had diarrhoea for about 3 weeks on and off and I'm currently 5 days late

I've had about 4 solid (pun intended) separate bouts of diarreah in the last week...haven't gone into labor yet! I think the clearing process can be a long one...
