Enjoying the last few weeks/days of pregnancy

We are almost there! These last few days I've just been kinda glum. Not sure why, but I think it's I'm ready for baby to come, im not sleeping at all so I'm exhausted, husband is traveling out of town, so I'm alone. Etc...
How are you ladies enjoying these last moments of pregnancy?
I did hire a cleaning service who came today and I feel so much better that I didn't have to do that cleaning.
Trying to rest, watch good Christmas movies, relax, trying to stay busy.
But need more ideas to keep my mind off of the cramps I'm having and how cranky and tired I am.
Also thinking of treating myself to a mani/pedi this week.
Also I'm due Christmas Day!

Re: Enjoying the last few weeks/days of pregnancy

  • I wish I could enjoy it. My cold came back after it was gone for a week, so now I'm back to being super congested with a cough and that added to peeing every two hours is not enjoyable. However, I will enjoy these last few days of cuddling with my 2 year old when it's just me and her.

  • I'm really trying to enjoy these last few days of doing whatever I want whenever I want. But DH is so antsy for labor to start and I keep getting texts and messages asking if she's here yet. It gets old, fast.
  • Netflix and naps, I'm 40+2.
  • Uhh! Trying to enjoy it, but baby is clearly preparing by giving me some strong contractions and this last week happens to be my 6 year olds busiest meaning it's also my busiest. Appointments, winter performances and on top having random strangers telling me "any day now!" Uhh, I'm over it! I get it, I look tired and huge! Cmon baby, I'm ready for you!
  • I've been out of work for 3 weeks now and haven't rested like I've wanted to. I have at least a few things to do each day... today it's mani/pedi (although that's kind of relaxing), sweeping & mopping, and looking for a newborn photographer. Oh and making dinner of course. Although I did sleep in til 10:30 today
  • I wish I could enjoy. It's almost past midnight so I'll be 4 days overdue, I'm bored and fed up waiting for him to arrive.
So excessive Netflix and chocolate is helping
  • I'm pretty uncomfortable and tired but really trying to soak in every last minute of blessed silence! Also time 1:1 with my husband and (I know this sounds silly) my dog before everything changes. Also, naps. Man I love a good nap. I might miss that most of all...
  • About to stop working so i can rest up hope baby comes sooner than later. Enjoying the last of my naughty eating before baby
  • I'm still working, was going to start leave this Friday 18th but i'm still feeling good and work needs me so figure why not. I'm due 12/28 so now I will leave work on 12/22 with Christmas between to keep my mind of things :) I'm a little nervous to start leave anyways because I have a feel baby isn't coming any time soon! No BH or labor signs at all. I don't even think he/she has dropped yet.
  • 39+3 and I haven't had a moment to enjoy it! Work has been crazy. Yesterday, with the exception of 2 hours for an OB appointment and quick trip to the store, I worked from 730am until 230am. Today I'll be working just the 8 hours, thank you. Trapped between hoping to go before Xmas and not wanting to go before I leave my colleagues in a decent place to take over for me.

Thank God my mom is here.
  • I'm trying to enjoy these last few days but everyone around me is so excited and wanting to rush everything. I keep getting texts and phone calls with unwanted advice. I mean she's not due until Christmas guys stop trying to rush and chill!!! Of course I'm excited to meet my little girl but I want to enjoy the last few days of her kicks and wiggles in there. Maybe I'm being selfish lol. There is tons of housework to be done so I guess I'm enjoying pregnancy by not doing any of it and watching hallmark Christmas movies!
  • What did pregnant ladies do before Netflix? So far I've watched Gilmore girls, MIndy project, Brooklyn 99, and some kind of food documentary. I'm finding it hard to wait (also do Xmas day like OP) and people texting and commenting on how baby will come soon isn't helpful really.
  • I'm trying to relax but I'm almost 41 weeks and I'm so over being pregnant.. The cramps/exhaustion etc. I just want to hold my sweet baby already!!! Ahhh
  • I'm 40+4 and still at work...
I was feeling a bit sorry for myself, and I am exhausted, but after reading some of the other comments on here I am sort of glad that I have something to keep my mind occupied and make the days go faster. I feel like wandering around my house and feeling every little pain or twitch would be worse than working. I think I'll take a day off tomorrow to rest, just so I'm not completely exhausted whenever labor does finally start.
  • @meganbeth5 good on you for working!!! I bet you are tired I hope you get rest! I wanted to keep working but found it impossible due to the nature of the job (nurse) and I totally feel like I would still do it just to take my mind off waiting. That being said napping is awesome.
