12w4d Just totally anxious for my appointment in 1hr 10min!!! Praying the hb will be heard nice and quickly and that the whole thing will be smooth and positive. Rave: my indigestion/nausea combo from yesterday has resolved. Now I just have mild nausea- soo much better! Advice: "Live and learn" is one that keeps me sane when I'm being hard on myself.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I'm praying today is the magic day when nausea goes away. I actually feel okay for the moment, but I think maybe it's just psychosomatic at this point.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? This is hard. There are a few. "No news is just no news." & "The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea."
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Headaches for two days now but been having them on and off since 10 weeks and my midwife prescribed magnesium supplement for them that doesn't seem to be helping at all neither does tylenol. Also for the past few days I get right out of bed to let the pups out and throw up first time in weeks and its on an empty stomach so its all stomach acid (TMI sorry) and im also do not feel nauseous. So frustrating because in the first trimester I was mostly just feeling nauseous without actually getting sick, i get sick like 4 times max!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Reading books and brainstorming names.
Questions? Anyone else getting more sick in the second trimester and any ideas for headache remedies?
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? Do what makes you happy.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rant: I am generally annoyed at everything today. Plus instead of having fun dreams where I find out the baby's sex like everyone else, I keep having miscarriage dreams. Can't wait for my OB appt next week. I know dreams are just dreams, but hearing the HB will make me feel much better and hopefully hold me over until my next US! Race: French fries. They have never let me down this entire pregnancy. I have to get my blood work done for the IPS testing today and I am already planning to go to 5 Guys on my way back to work. Symptoms: MS is finally almost all gone, but sadly it has been replaced with heartburn!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Painted the room, bought a diaper genie, car seat, and crib mattress, looked at cribs, made a secret baby registry online, and generally drive myself crazy with questions and worry!
Questions? Why is this week going sooooo slooooowwllyyyy?
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? Stop being crazy! Plan for the best and worst case scenarios, but spend most of your time on the most likely scenario.
@Candicek15 - Seriously. How is it NOT Friday yet?!
How far along are you: 12w6d
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Still nauseous, but used to it. Also, I couldn't comfortably button my jeans this morning. Work decided that we could wear jeans for the rest of the week for all of the Christmas festivities, but my jeans have a higher rise than my normal work pants and it's constricting my blump! Hair tie to the rescue...
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Our Christmas card announcements have started reaching people. My (rather large) extended family should be getting them today. Bring on the awkward pregnancy conversations!
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? This early in the morning, the only advice that I can think of that I thought was useful was given to me before our wedding. My aunt told me to take a minute during the ceremony and a minute during the reception and just look around at all of the people who came out to celebrate with us. I did. It was nice to see so many loved ones who were having a good time together.
@candicek15 Slowest. Week. Ever. (I'm a teacher. The 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are always more like 3 years.)
How far along are you: 15+4 Rants/Raves/Symptoms: (Rave!) Done with Christmas shopping! Did a lot online, and am now sitting around nervously tracking shipments and hoping for it to all arrive on time. Going to have so much to wrap next week, but I actually enjoy that part. (Symptoms) Still exhausted. I thought that was supposed to be better by now.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? I'm obsessed with names. I'm 90-something% sure we've landed on "the one," and yet I keep looking, just because it's fun.
Questions? MIL is super upset that I don't want to register, buy all the big stuff, and start on the nursery right. this. second. I'm trying to wait until after the anatomy scan. (We already know the gender; I'm just wanting to make sure everything is okay.) Anyone else waiting for a certain milestone, or just until you're further along, to do the major purchases and such?
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? My mom told me, "You have to be willing to let go of what's wrong for you so what's right for you can come along." She was talking about a job offer, but it applies to so many things.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: -ugh I have been very dizzy and lightheaded over there past few days, I'm hoping this will pass soon! On a happier note, I'm heading out finish up the last of my Christmas shopping today!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? -Not too much other than creating an Amazon wish list of things that come to mind that I might need
Questions? - none
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? -I would have to say that the best piece of advice was given to me as a stressed out new mom "having a newborn is all about survival, this will pass before you know it." And man was that true! I think that as a new mom you are trying to do everything right and by the book. Honestly...it is all about doing what it takes to get through your nights and days. It really does go by in a blink so don't ever feel like things won't get easier, because they do!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Just started feeling flutters but it's not often, midwife says by 18 weeks I'll feel a lot more cause I had "no padding" lol I still get MS from time to time but the HG is all gone. Thank god!!!!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Started planning the nursery last night
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? Let it go!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I have finals today, which are pretty much banking on me graduating in May because I won't be able to handle a heavy workload next semester if I had to retake the Shakespeare course I'm struggling with. My plan initially was to teach but my heart isn't into it anymore which is making it really hard to finish out a degree I know I'll probably never use just because "I'm so close to being done." I'm just hoping for a passing grade at this point.
Other than that! My RLP has really stepped into high gear the last few days and I did a side by side comparison of a picture of my belly before I was pregnant with a picture I took last night and I can definitely tell a small difference. Hooray!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? I did some research on baby wearing and the different wraps and carriers and such yesterday while I was being lazy at work. Does that count?
Questions? None.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten? In keeping with the finals/school theme, my cousin told me never to stay up all night studying and go to sleep. You'll be taking the test in the same place you learned the material, study a little bit every night and what you know will come back to you as you see the questions.
@catherinekate FX the nausea stays away! @Jerseygirl9090 The headaches suck. I have been getting them a lot more in the second trimester as well. I take Tylenol if it doesn't go away on it's own. Hope you find some relief soon!
@candicek15 Ditto on the french fries and wondering why this week is going so slooowww @Kballew10 Can't wait to hear about your families reactions to the announcements! @VernalEquinox We are waiting on registering or any major purchases until closer to my due date. I would say we'll really start looking 2-3 months before baby is due. No real particular reason other than we just want to do our research and there's no need to buy it right this second!
How far along are you: 14+4
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Nothing to rant about today. Rave: Working from home again because the roads were too crappy to drive in with the snow/rain we got this morning. Looks like another day in my yoga pants and baking shit
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Getting ready for our next house project - getting rid of the carpet upstairs and putting in hardwood floors.
Questions? None today!
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? I have received so much great advice over the years from friends and family, but just choosing one....Enjoy this crazy adventure called life, and don't take it too seriously.
@Kballew10 - Yeah for Christmas baby announcements! We didn't do one and I'm sort of bummed we didn't but between our recent international and domestic travel, Thanksgiving, our dog's major surgery, etc. we just didn't have any time. I'm thinking of posting a cute picture on Facebook though...we'll see, I don't post much there.
@vernalequinox - I'm waiting for the 20 week appointment. We don't know the gender yet. I did buy a stroller and a car seat (this is our first baby) because there was a Black Friday deal I couldn't pass up but I've made no other baby purchases yet or even thought about the nursery. Do it at your own pace.
@adiaz13200 - Yeah for flutters! I feel like I'm feeling something too lately but I can't tell for sure.
@mrsschmity - Yeah for new floors! What color hardwood?
How far along are you:
-15 weeks
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
-I had a massive headache yesterday and broke down and had one extra-strength Tylenol. I never take pain meds so one pill helped immensly. Both H and I hurt our backs trying to lift our dog over the last week with our dog's surgery too. Ugh. At least the dog is feeling better!
What are you doing to get ready for baby?
-Stroller is getting put together today.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone?
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Got sick first thing this morning, but have been munching on my trusty cheerios all morning--seems to help!
Rave: It's sunny out!
Rant: The enormous amount of leaves in my yard is just...staring at me. I'm one of those "I won't pay for someone to do something I can do myself" types, so I won't hire someone to come once to just handle it. So...stubbornly raking bit by bit after work until dark. For. Ever.
Also, dog still won't pee in the yard. No matter what I do. Anyone have Cesar Milan's number? Heh.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? Do the best you can with what you have. Onward and upward. The things you take for granted someone else is praying for.
@mrsschmity: Woohoo house projects! Are y'all installing the floors yourselves? New hardwoods throughout the house is something that's on our list for sure. BUT, I'm waffling between hiring someone to do it all in 2-3 days, vs DH and me (and those we bribe with food/beer) to do it...over a week or 2.
@mkemommy: Headaches and back pain = ouch. Sounds like you really needed the relief.
@mkemommy We're thinking of going with a darker color for the floors! The overall theme of our house is more rustic, so I think a darker shade would go nicely. BTW, I like your piece of advice
@crdo I also like your pieces of advice. All things I've been told myself and try and stick to
@crdo We are doing the floors ourselves! My dad is coming down in January to help us install it. We are going with a high quality laminate hardwood, and that is much easier to install than real hardwood. I wish it was real, but this stuff looks just as nice IMO and it can be done in a day or two!

Nice! I'm sure it be beautiful! Pure hardwood is great, but there are so many benefits to nice laminate and engineered hardwood, too. Hello, faster installation! That's great you're having your Dad come to help.
In our case, my biggest hang-up is having the entire downstairs ripped up and furniture moved about for a couple of weeks (with 2 cats, a dog, and the fact that I live AND work at home), and then doing the same upstairs for a diy install. Maybe I'm just being a bit cranky, but that much chaos for that long just gives me hives.

Yeah that's a long time to have your house torn apart, but in the end I'm sure it'd be worth it! Real wood is beautiful. We bought our house with the basement unfinished - like it's completely gutted. Our goal right now is to get the upstairs completely re-done before baby comes, and then get started on the basement sometime next year. The never-ending list of home improvements

For the $ savings, maybe I just need to suck it up. We shall see. Gotta complete this mostly diy kitchen overhaul first, so we have a while to decide, lol.
Starting from a gutted basement does mean a lot of work, but it's great that you have the opportunity to do exactly what you want.
@SMLmom FX your appt goes smoothly! @Kballew10 my announcements should be arriving today as well! I know most people will be excited, but there are a few who will just be scrutinizing me to see "when I get fat". Whatev. @mrsschmity DIY or did you hire it out? And engineered hardwoods or traditional? We're thinking about ripping up our upstairs carpet too...
How far along are you: 13w4d
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: DH's VP at corporate gave us tickets to the NYE Blues game!!! Center ice, 5 rows up. Best seats we've ever had. Squee!!!!!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Found a couple boxes of DDs infant clothes I forgot about, so I'm sorting those by size today.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? I don't know. Um...
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
How far along are you: 16w today! Rants/Raves/Symptoms: STILL having MS. I'm done with it already. What are you doing to get ready for baby? Nada, aside from making dollah bills, y'all. Pretty sure I've already used that line, but oh well. I'm growing a human Questions?
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? I can't even think right now, so I have no idea!
And freaking awesome score on the game tickets!! Have a blast! I love live hockey games. I used to got to the MN Wild games all the time and the energy in there was awesome.

Also - LOL'ing at that GIF. Great advice.
Nice. We did that in our first house. It's really a pretty easy project! This house we hired out the living room because we had them match and join existing e-hardwoods. Really should have just done it when we built, but we underestimated how much we'd loathe carpet... Annnyway, you should post a before/after!!
thanks!! We're so excited! Live hockey is the best. They are actually playing the Wild. And MIL is watching DD, so yay for not paying a babysitter, too! Merry Christmas to us!
Ron Swanson speaks the truth!
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@mrsschmity I took caved yesterday and took Tylenol and it didn't help at all maybe because I waited so long I read somewhere you have to take it right when headaches begin.
@SMLmom good luck with your appointment. I know you have been anxious but I bet all is perfect.
@mrsschmity yay for new floors! I used to work in a construction office and a change of flooring will make it look and feel like a new home! My H laid our new flooring and it saved us a bunch.
How far along are you: 13 weeks - roll on one more week to the 2nd tri!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Raves- I am on a B6 pill for my MS and I feel like a new person. I can actually eat again. I am also starting to get really excited about this baby.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? Don't try and live someone elses perfect life or by their ideals. Do your own thing as well as you can and it will all work out.
@mrsschmity - I feel you on home improvements. So far in the last year and a half, in addition to "paint" and things, we've redone our floors (they were wood but in desperate need of refinishing), fenced our yard, landscaped our yard, reinforced our foundation, finished our basement, added a bathroom to a space that was completely empty in the basement, gutted our kitchen and redid it completely and we STILL have to replace our garage door, do our main bathroom and do a powder room gut. We've had help with family and friends thankfully with it and didn't do the plumbing for the bathroom downstairs nor the foundation reinforcement (we hired that out). I'm sick of construction but we are hoping to get the bathrooms and garage door done before baby comes.

Wow @mkemommy! Sounds like a lot of projects! We have a lot to do yet. I painted already, we just replaced all of the lighting & ceiling fans upstairs, and next on the list is ripping out the carpet and putting in the new floors upstairs. Once that is done, we'll get started on re-doing the bathroom and what will be baby's room. The big project will be finishing the basement. We also plan on putting a fence in the backyard once spring rolls around. And the list goes on and on lol
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I'm sick of being hungry all the time and nothing seeming to fill me up (or at least for not too long). My MS still isn't getting any better, and is so horrible night. I have nooo motivation to do anything and just am sitting here at work wishing I could go home. Thankfully, I only have my Mom to shop for for Christmas, but she's practically impossible to shop for.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? I haven't been in the mood to do anything....blah
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? I am a very anxious person and tend to get ahead of myself....So my Mom and husband both have to remind me to take it one day at time and I can't control the future no matter how much I try, and that helps me slow down a bit and calm down at times.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Symptoms have all but fallen off - I still have a lot of gas :-( Otherwise, I'm leaving for Florida in less than a week and I cannot freaking wait.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Only purchase Ive made is a carseat. I've started cleaning out what will be the nursery so that's progress. We're surprising my family and telling them its a little boy on Christmas, so I'm expecting presents and other supplies to start rolling in shortly after (I'm a FTM and have lots of aunts that are going to go nuts)
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? My mom always told me "Act like you do this everyday". It let me walk into otherwise uncomfortable situations with a little bit of confidence.
@Kballew10: Congrats on your announcements being out! The pic I wanted to use as an announcement didn't fit our Christmas card. So, now I'm torn how/when to tell people. My immediate family knows. I guess everyone else will find out when I visit next week!
@mrsschmity: Your new floors sound awesome! I love hardwood, it's so easy to maintain.
@crdo: I need to try your Cheerios trick. Something needs to settle this sour belly.
How far along are you: 14w4d
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Last full day of work for the week. Tomorrow it's a half-day and off to see the family. Thus, the day is ridiculously slooooooooooooooow.
Still dealing with the sinus issues, but them seem a little more bearable today.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? That sounds like a good task for the new year. Mentally, I'm just not there.
Questions? None
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone?
Thanks, @mrsschmity and @mkemommy - I tend to take kind of an "overly cautious" approach, so I was wondering what others were thinking of doing. My MIL actually said I was "taking the joy out of giving" by not registering before Christmas. (She's a real joy herself!)
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Nothing much, just blood pressure problems. I can't stand still for longer than a few minutes without feelings faint. OB says its normal for some women so I'm not too worried about it. Just sitting in desks more when I observe in classrooms!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Reading books and looking up research.
Questions?
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? I have two: "This too shall pass" and "The only time you should be looking down on someone is if you are helping them up" mentality. Both can be hard to follow!
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I think the baby is retaliating for the abrupt wake up yesterday morning during the NT scan as the puke fairy made a stop at our house this morning again...I also woke up feeling like I hadn't actually slept all night.
What are you doing to get ready for baby?: printed out our favorite sonogram picture from yesterday to use in the great grandma picture frame that we're using to tell my grandma (and the rest of the family) when we see them next week. I'm excited by nervous for her reaction.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone?: never be afraid to ask for help. I hate asking others to help me out, its really hard to remember that getting help from others is okay and doesn't make me less of a person.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I think I felt LO move! It was three light 'pops' that I felt near where I imagine the top of my uterus might be? It felt higher than I thought it was, but it didn't really feel like gas. Nada since. Am I cray cray?
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Being lazy.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? Know when someone opening up to you is talking from solution space or validation space, then stay in that space when you respond. This made me a much better listener, it's hard though since I'm very solution oriented.
@samsonator love your advice! The other similar one I love and say all the time from a comedian is his response to his daughter's complaint that someone had more ice cream. "The only reason you should be looking in someone else's bowl is to make sure they have enough." Love that lesson!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I'm still sick...I can't shake whatever's going around. And I thought I'd have a few more weeks before I started to show, but I realized this morning that's not the case, lol.
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? To get rid of the toxic people in my life. Not everyone from the past deserves to be in my present, or future.
Just thought I would check back in and let you all know that the fries were everything I was expecting and more. So satisfied... Now if only it was Friday! lol.
I also thought of another random: I'm going to be sharing the baby news with work tomorrow and I'm so nervous for no reason! I won't have any issues taking the time off, but I still feel like the conversation is going to be awkward, even though I know it will be fine. UGH! My plan is to tell my boss in the morning and then to tell the rest of the staff (besides a couple friends that already know) through my contribution to the funny gift exchange. We're supposed to submit something ridiculous (my favourite past gift was "manually unsalted crackers" where the giver insinuated that she had licked all the salted crackers and put them back in the box, lol) and then we pick numbers and play the game where we can "steal" gifts. My gift is going to be a gift certificate that entitles the holder to provide me with 3 hours of free babysitting - redeemable after 2016. EEEEEKKKKK!!! I hope someone with a good reaction will pick it!!
@candicek15 I just told my boss. He was surprisingly awesome (actually took it a lot better than my more-emotional former boss did with my last pregnancy). Your announcement idea is adorable. Good luck!! I'm sure everyone will be thrilled for you.
@crdo I was on a real cheerios kick for awhile... think I finally maxed out on them. It's ginger chews for me lately.
@Sgoldberg247- that is great advice about asking for help. It comes to mind a lot during pregnancy, doesn't it? I've enlisted so much family help lately with my toddler. I feel guilty sometimes but everyone has been great and they want to help our family this way. Anyway, nice one
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I think I'm starting to experience RLP. I wasn't sure what this was and then bam it happened and I was like hmm I'm pretty sure this is it lol
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Started a secret registry to keep track of the items I have already researched. Also hoping to go look at car seats and try them in our car this weekend!
Questions? None
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? "Everyday is a gift, make the best of it" from the most amazing 14 year old I ever had the chance of knowing. He truly was amazing and I miss him dearly
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: This pregnancy is making my sex life amazing. I knew my sex drive had plummeted after my daughter was born, but I didn't realize just how huge the difference was until my pregnancy hormones cancelled out the breastfeeding hormones that were keeping my mojo down and got me back to my old self. Loving it! Hope it doesn't tank again after baby's born this time
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Today I mailed my Christmas/pregnancy announcement cards to my parents and my out-of-town sister because they're the only family I won't see this weekend when I announce to everyone else. I'm so excited for the cards to get to them!
Questions? Anyone got a genius insomia-busting tip I haven't thought of yet?
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone? I can't think of any good advice, exactly. When I was pregnant with my first I hated most of the advice I got and was so frustrated with the dumb negative shit everyone would say about becoming a parent. So what sticks out in my mind are two non-advice things that people said to me while I was pregnant that made me really happy. An older family member on DH's side just said "it's the coolest thing in the world, having a little person all of your own", and I just loved that dose of completely honest positivity on the subject. And my midwife summed it up with "it will all be so much better than you can possibly imagine", which was a wonderful mantra to focus on during pregnancy (and is totally accurate). Sometimes you just need support, not advice
Re: Wednesday Check-In
Just totally anxious for my appointment in 1hr 10min!!! Praying the hb will be heard nice and quickly and that the whole thing will be smooth and positive.
Rave: my indigestion/nausea combo from yesterday has resolved. Now I just have mild nausea- soo much better!

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Headaches for two days now but been having them on and off since 10 weeks and my midwife prescribed magnesium supplement for them that doesn't seem to be helping at all neither does tylenol. Also for the past few days I get right out of bed to let the pups out and throw up
What are you doing to get ready for baby?
How far along are you: 15+4
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: (Rave!) Done with Christmas shopping!
-15w4d
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
-ugh I have been very dizzy and lightheaded over there past few days, I'm hoping this will pass soon!
How far along are you:

Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Just started feeling flutters but it's not often, midwife says by 18 weeks I'll feel a lot more cause I had "no padding" lol I still get MS from time to time but the HG is all gone. Thank god!!!!
What are you doing to get ready for baby?
Started planning the nursery last night
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone?
Let it go!
How far along are you? 15+2
@Jerseygirl9090 The headaches suck. I have been getting them a lot more in the second trimester as well. I take Tylenol if it doesn't go away on it's own. Hope you find some relief soon!
@candicek15 Ditto on the french fries and wondering why this week is going so slooowww
@Kballew10 Can't wait to hear about your families reactions to the announcements!
@VernalEquinox We are waiting on registering or any major purchases until closer to my due date. I would say we'll really start looking 2-3 months before baby is due. No real particular reason other than we just want to do our research and there's no need to buy it right this second!
What are you doing to get ready for baby?
Hugs to those still not feeling well--right there with you. Yay for those who have kicked MS to the curb!
@ahernandez16: Good luck today with your finals!
@Kballew10: Exciting your announcements are out there!
@adiaz132003: Yay for flutters!
@crdo I also like your pieces of advice. All things I've been told myself and try and stick to
In our case, my biggest hang-up is having the entire downstairs ripped up and furniture moved about for a couple of weeks (with 2 cats, a dog, and the fact that I live AND work at home), and then doing the same upstairs for a diy install. Maybe I'm just being a bit cranky, but that much chaos for that long just gives me hives.
------qbf-----
For the $ savings, maybe I just need to suck it up. We shall see. Gotta complete this mostly diy kitchen overhaul first, so we have a while to decide, lol.
Starting from a gutted basement does mean a lot of work, but it's great that you have the opportunity to do exactly what you want.
Neverending list is RIGHT!
Um...
16w today!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
STILL having MS. I'm done with it already.
What are you doing to get ready for baby?
Nada, aside from making dollah bills, y'all. Pretty sure I've already used that line, but oh well. I'm growing a human
Questions?
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone?
I can't even think right now, so I have no idea!
And freaking awesome score on the game tickets!! Have a blast! I love live hockey games. I used to got to the MN Wild games all the time and the energy in there was awesome.
Also - LOL'ing at that GIF. Great advice.
thanks!! We're so excited! Live hockey is the best. They are actually playing the Wild. And MIL is watching DD, so yay for not paying a babysitter, too! Merry Christmas to us!
Ron Swanson speaks the truth!
@ahernandez16: Good luck today with your finals!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
- Last full day of work for the week. Tomorrow it's a half-day and off to see the family. Thus, the day is ridiculously slooooooooooooooow.
- Still dealing with the sinus issues, but them seem a little more bearable today.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? That sounds like a good task for the new year. Mentally, I'm just not there.Questions? None
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone?
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Nothing much, just blood pressure problems. I can't stand still for longer than a few minutes without feelings faint. OB says its normal for some women so I'm not too worried about it. Just sitting in desks more when I observe in classrooms!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Reading books and looking up research.
Questions?
GTKY: What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever gotten from someone?
I have two: "This too shall pass" and "The only time you should be looking down on someone is if you are helping them up" mentality. Both can be hard to follow!
DD born June 2016
Second due August 2020 (team green!)
12 + 4
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
I'm still sick...I can't shake whatever's going around.
SaveSave
