Belly Bands

I went to Target on my lunch break and purchased a black Belly Band. I opened it and put it on when I got back to the office and HOLY COW--what amazing relief I felt instantly! My (previously loose) pants felt tight this morning and one of the two clasps was falling off my pants by 10am.

Now for my question: If you use or have used a Belly Band, do you prefer a certain brand and why? The one I purchased is Ingrid & Isabel's BeBand. I know this same brand sells the Bella Band at boutiques for double the price. I'm wondering if anyone has noticed a quality difference between the boutique line and the Target line.

If there's a consensus that the boutique brand is better, I will purchase one before my trip to Europe next week. Trying to prepare so I can be the most comfortable possible!

I loved my target one so much with my last bebe I bought another one the moment we began trying again! I'm so bloated it's close to time to breaking it out haha

I bought Bella bands (3 total) I actually thought they were made kinda cheap. I even splurged and got the ones with lace on the bottom. I would buy a cheaper brand in the future had i known the quality would be subpar for hte price.

I was loaned two bella bands for my first pregnancy. They were a lifesaver.

I am the UO here, but I didn't like mine! I felt like it was constantly shifting and moving around. I only wore it a few times my last pregnancy before just moving to low panel mat pants. They were much more comfortable for me.

I bought one and love it! The pants are a little tight after lunch so I appreciate being able to unbutton

I bought two with my first pregnancy and didn't like them at all. Guess it is either a love it or hate it kinda thing.

My really good friend and I were pregnant at the same time with our first. She went to one to those stores in the mall that sell basic generic t shirts, leggings, tube tops etc for super cheap (like 3 for 10). She bought a black tube top for each of us and mailed me mine it worked great as a belly band and was only a few dollars. I certainly got her money's worth out of that thing and for super cheap compared to a real belly band.

I had the higher end ones and didn't like them at all. They kept shifting on me. I was much more comfortable in regular maternity pants. I would stick with the cheaper ones until you know you love them. Side note: this talk of target reminds me of a product of theirs I can't live without: the Gillian and OMalley nursing tanks. They are the best!

I have gone for longer tanks and one size larger leggings (which nearly come up to my boobs!)... I rock the leggings with a dress look most days (sometimes I get crazy and wear the capri ones) and it seems to be working and comfy. The dresses are all flow on the bottom with elastic bands and not maternity.

I have really muscular thighs and narrow hips so I get really picky about real pants and none of the maternity ones I have sat right either

I had the beband from Target last pregnancy and I bought a new one with this one. I have a love/hate with it. I don't like the way it shifts around and bunches up on me. I would prefer to use the hair band trick but all my dress pants for work have a clasp closure so I need the beband if I don't want to wear maternity pants. I'm so bloated this time around that I'm already getting ready to wear it!

I also have the target one- it's fine, serves its purpose since I'm insanely bloated right now (7th week started today).

I will say, maternity pants are definitely more comfortable. With my first pregnancy I was in the at 9 weeks (I could have gone longer with the band but comfort won).

Screw the band and go straight for the maternity pants. You're only putting off the inevitable (they are so uncomfortable for me)

YES! I was in such denial during my last pregnancy that I just kept buying larger sized regular pants, even though they still dug into my stomach and were so uncomfortable. I didn't even wear maternity pants until I was maybe 5 or 6 months. I finally caved and bought maternity clothes and realized what I had been missing out on! So comfortable! You won't regret it, especially the pants with the full panel.

I haven't broke out my box of maternity clothes yet, but I might as well go ahead and get on that!

my full panel pants. I'm rocking them already and I haven't regretted it. My Michelin Man blump thanks me.

I'm planning to buy maternity pants in a couple weeks. The problem is I leave for Italy on Tuesday morning and literally have NO time to go shopping. I'm working 10-12 hour days and I'm standing up in a wedding this weekend. My only free time on weekdays has been 9-11pm.... Not prime time for shopping, unfortunately. I was able to run into target for a few essentials yesterday but had less than ten minutes to spare so I grabbed some loose dresses and the belly band. I'm hoping those items and my current wardrobe will get me through my trip and then I am definitely stocking up on maternity pants when I return!

I only shop online... I also shop way too much on amazon (I will prob need to get the deliver man a Christmas prezzie), Some stores you can next day pick up in store which does involve some travel but no picking out/trying on etc.

All right, I need advice. I don't need a bella band, I use maternity pants. But I do need back and belly support. There are maternity support bands, but they range a good bit in design and price. Any suggestion? I have alot of hip, back, and all over belly ache. I can't sit, stand, walk, or lie comfortably any more. Dr agrees that I need support but says that she doesn't really know what to suggest as to which one to get. Please and thank you for any help
