Re: Tuesday Ticker Change 12/15

  • Weeks/Fruit: 23/grapefruit -She's growing nipples!

Symptoms: heartburn, shortness of breath, occasional nausea, fatigue

Rants\Raves/Stories: my asshole cats keep breaking ornaments on the Christmas tree. Glad I got cheap ones!

    Recent/upcoming appointments: regular check-up tomorrow

    Questions:

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had?
Hands-down, working the women's clothing department at a department store. I only lasted a month and I hated every single moment of it. I will never, ever work retail again.

  • Weeks/Fruit: 22/ papaya

Symptoms: so far so good. About to come of my dilegis for good and slightly nervous I still won't be able to eat.

Rants\Raves/Stories: I can kinda sorta feel roo move but not much. In a week a get to spend eight hours or so on a road trip to go see bf's family and my brother in the process and I'm not looking forward to that. On the bad side I'm looking at working diddly squat til at least February. Which is not awesome. Since that means I'll have to drain my savings account just to pay my bills.

Recent/upcoming appointments: January 6. And then shortly after that for the glucose test

    Questions: none

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? I've only ever really worked one job. And sadly it's becoming a place I absolutely hate to go. Especially now. And it doesn't help that my temper is a lot shorter so I don't want to help anybody out when I'm the one that's getting screwed over in the end.
  • Weeks/Fruit: 22/papaya

Symptoms: occasional nausea, a little back pain. Post stomach bug I definitely completely popped. I look like I'm trying to smuggle a ham under my shirt now

Rants\Raves/Stories: I ended up have in my A/S last Wednesday because the ultrasound office made a mistake they would not own up to. Whatever, DH was magically able to make it so it ended up being ok. Our girl is still a girl, everything looks perfect and the tech kept gushing over how cute little skeletor is.

Recent/upcoming appointments: regular OB visit tomorrow. Yay more blood being drawn. Fingers crossed my iron levels look good

    Questions:

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? I don't think I've ever had a job I truly hate. I e gone through periods of being unhappy for various reasons, but it's always worked out. If I had to say something though, probably being a counselor in training for the town summer camp when I was 15. Low pay, kids that don't respect you. It was basically a way for parents to know where their kids were that were just too young to work a normal job, but not have to pay for camp and the camp got super cheap labor

  • Weeks/Fruit:  24 weeks - Cantaloupe!

Symptoms:  Round... heartburn barely at bay...

Rants\Raves/Stories:  our DCP is not doing full time next year so we are currently looking for a new one and it suuuuuucks.

Recent/upcoming appointments:  Jan 6... glucose and appt

    Questions:  none

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had?  first job... mcdonald's at the mall!  eww!  lasted about 2 months before i switched to the science store!
  • Weeks/Fruit: 21 pomegranate

Symptoms: baby is moving like a crazy person...I'm slightly worried she will be a wild child
  • Does anyone else have issues with the app only posting half of what they type?? So annoying.

Rants\Raves/Stories: I'm pretty sure this cold is kicking my butt!! I'm starting to get better though. Finally

Recent/upcoming appointments: a/s was yesterday!! I'm growing a healthy little girl alien
  • I give up. The app hates me today.
  • Week: 24/cantaloupe-finally a fruit that makes sense

Symptoms: not many thankfully. Occasional pain in my hips.

    Rants/Raves/Stories:

Rave: last week of work for the year.

Rants: DH and his BIL are disagreeing about Xmas gift giving. We were under impression of gifts for "immediate" family which includes BIL & SIL. They were under impressions gifts for kids only. It's not that big a deal but we already bought them a bunch of stuff and he sends text last night "can you return them or give to someone else?" Really? No, what a pain. Accept your gifts and be happy about it.

Recent/upcoming appts: Dec 28th. Not sure if glucose test or not. I got off schedule with OB.

    Questions: is it Friday yet?

GTKY: what is worst job you've ever had? Probably "internship" in Spain during study abroad year. Back in 2002 you could still smoke in work place. I HATE cigarette smoke. At least it was only a month.
  • Weeks/Fruit: 23/ Grapefruit (one my my favorite fruits actually)

Symptoms: still throwing up, although sometimes it's just once a day so i'm thankful for that. Heartburn

Rants\Raves/Stories: Excited about viability next week!

Recent/upcoming appointments: 2 appointments on the 29th (one regular, one with MFM)

    Questions: None today

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? Cancellation department for Major Magazine Companies. Had pissed off customers call me all day because they bought something at Best Buy and accepted the offer to get 3 months free of SI, or Time, or whatever. They never called to cancel before the 90 days so they got charged a full year's subscription. I handled irate customers. you could do unlimited overtime in that job because the turnover rate was so high.
  • Weeks/Fruit: 21/pomegranate

    Symptoms: nothing new!

Rants\Raves/Stories: Recieved my first gift for this baby. Pink jammies...finally hit me that DS will have a sister!

Recent/upcoming appointments: nothing for a few weeks

    Questions: none

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? I worked at a mall Friendly's when I was 19. It was THE WORST. Terrible training/management, multiple coworkers were on drugs, lots of bad tippers, and we had to answer the phone with "Friendly's, you bet we are." Haha. The worst!

Mommy to my sweet boy, JG, born May 15, 2014

    Baby #2 due 4/26/16!

  • Weeks/Fruit: 22/ papaya

Symptoms: heart burn & low back pain pretty bad

Rants\Raves/Stories: feeling babies move like crazy now! I LOVE feeling baby movements.

Recent/upcoming appointments: had US today two beautiful healthy growing girls
  • Weeks/Fruit: 23/grapefruit.... which sounds delish right now!

Symptoms: Feeling pretty good! Think I had a yeast infection, my first ever... ick... but called the doctor's office, started MOnistat, and feeling SO much better. You guys should have seen me buying Monistat at the store. I was on an undercover mission. I was stealthy. And I was terrified the whole time that the (creepy older man) pharmacist would try to "help" me find what I was looking for. DON'T LOOK AT ME!!!

Rants\Raves/Stories: My husband has decided to pursue a job that would require us to move four hours away :-( But his salary would double and I could stay home with our boys... so it's scary/exciting!

Recent/upcoming appointments:Next appintment isn't until early January... I'll have my glucose test!

Questions: Who's still working out? What are you doing? How are you feeling?

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had?: The HARDEST job I ever had was definitely teaching at a public school (sort of inner city-ish.) There were amazing and rewarding parts, but it was so emotionally draining. I now teach at a Catholic school and it's SO much easier. (I teach high school.)

  • @pinottoparenthood I'm doing my best to continue going for walks and stretching; I think the stretching really helps but I'm already so uncomfortable that "real" exercise is just too much.
  • Weeks/Fruit: 21/pomegranate or carrot

Symptoms: Still burping all the time, but my cold's gone so I feel pretty darn good.

Rants\Raves/Stories: We told my stepsons (5 and 9) this weekend that they are going to have a little brother and their reactions were adorable: they were so excited, asked loads of questions, listened to baby's heartbeat on the doppler, put their heads on my belly, wished baby goodnight every night. Very reassuring. :)  I also told my boss' boss, so now that everyone important who needs to know knows, a psychological hurdle has been overcome, and my belly is expanding like mad.

Recent/upcoming appointments: Regular check-up last week, all ok.

    Questions:

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? I've fortunately enjoyed most of my jobs, but I'd have to say the one that I enjoyed the least was my three-week stint at McDonald's when I was 15.

  • @jasmuin yes, the app posts only part of my messages too! hence why I have to edit almost all of my posts.
  • @pinottoparenthood I'm still going to crossfit 3-4 times a week, and feeling relatively strong lately. How about you?
  • Weeks/Fruit: 24! Viability, baby.

Symptoms: The worst heartburn of my life the past couple of evenings. At some points I thought I was going to throw up.

Rants/Raves/Stories: DD tried kimchi radish/turnips with our korean takeout yesterday, and she quite liked them. She said "ooo that's sour!" made a silly face and then asked for more.

Recent/upcoming appointments: Today! I had to take a day off of work, which was a pain to prep for, but I feel good about it. I have a lot of things to do today.

    Questions: none I guess.

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? Working in the cafeteria at my university, specifically the salad bar work. Turnover was so high for the two other people who were supposed to help me that it was often just me during the lunch rush, trying to do three people's jobs. I would get a new person, help them learn the ropes, and then they'd quit just when they were starting to actually know what they were doing.

  • Weeks/Fruit: 21/pomegranate. Is it me or do none of these fruits make any sense?

Symptoms: None really - just tired

Rants\Raves/Stories: So I had a bit of a scare last week when my insurance company sent me a letter notifying me that the doctor/health system that I use was in the middle of a contract negotiation and that they might not cover me if they didn't reach agreement before the 31st. I was so nervous that I was going to have to switch doctors mid pregnancy. There is only 1 other hospital nearby where I could deliver and I haven't heard such great things about them. My only other option would have been to drive 45 mins to the next hospital in the city and I don't think I would want to risk being in labor when rush hour hits. Thankfully the doctor's office just called and said that they were able to reach agreement with the insurer. I know it's the hormones but I seriously was going to cry when I thought that I was going to have to switch doctors.

Recent/upcoming appointments: I just had my A/S and regular checkup and it's a ........GIRL. I'm so happy that I get to finally call her a "she" rather than an "it". DH is happy but now he's worried about all the things that come along with protecting girls. I caught him looking through a gun magazine after the appointment ended LOL.

Questions: No questions for the group today.

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? I don't think I've ever had a job that I absolutely hated. I was at one place (ironically a law firm) in which many of my coworkers would make blatantly racist comments around me. It was really uncomfortable at times but I managed to make it there for 4 years while I was in college. Now that I think about it, I have no idea why I stayed there...
  • @pinottoparenthood - still seeing my trainer 2x a week (saw him right up until day before induction with DD1) - cardio 2 - 3 times a week.  Def into it and swear it helped for a super fast recovery with DD1.  My only complaint is I can go super hard for about 20 mins then I hit a wall when I'm doing cardio.  Yesterday was the worst, shaky and a sweaty mess in 30 mins!  I had a glorious apple in the car and felt like a million bucks in 5 mins!
  • A day late again, please don't hate me! Apparently my Tuesdays get away from me!

    Weeks/Fruit: 23/grapefuit

Symptoms: Same old same old. Tired, no energy, some mild m/s nausea through out the day (and my stupid insurance thinks I don't need diclegis - bitches don't know my body). I feel like an old woman every time I get out of bed (which is often to pee in the night, the struggle is getting real)

Rants\Raves/Stories: Not baby related but will affect baby - DH is getting moved to 3rd shift from 1st shift. He will work from 3am-11am. He switches in January, not very excited. In fact I'm quite annoyed by the whole situation (especially since his boss knows we are expecting). He'll be in bed by the time I get home from work, so we'll hardly see each other. Awesome. The only plus side I can see if that we might only have to do part time day care, but I'm guessing he will be so tired when he gets home baby will not get the attention he needs.

Recent/upcoming appointments: Second a/s last week, everything looked good ( thank god). Confirmed that our boy is a still a boy (actually saw his baby boy bits this time). Glucose test and normal check up Jan 11.

Questions: None today - glad that we all seem to be doing well!

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? Life guard - I was a one from age 15-21 every summer (shoot me). Good money, but my god I wanted to throat punch some of the children. I still catch myself saying "walk please" when kids (sometimes I don't even know them) run by me. And I still have a special place in my heart for lightening and thunder b/c we got to clear the pool!

  • A little late but it's been a hell of a week

    Weeks/Fruit: 24 weeks/cantaloupe

Symptoms: besides the usual fatigue, nothing really

Rants\Raves/Stories: This is my last pregnancy and I can't enjoy it and it sucks. See below

Recent/upcoming appointments: Had a follow-up ultrasound on the 15 because her brain ventricles are borderline. They had gone up a little so now I'm being followed more frequently to monitor the situation. Had an amnio done yesterday and a fetal MRI scheduled on January 6 to try and pinpoint why this is happening (if there even is a reason which my mommy gut tells me there isn't, she's just made this way)

    Questions: none really

GTKY: What's the worst job you've ever had? Um probably the one I currently have because I happen to have a real shitty boss. The job itself is ok but dealing with douches everyday takes its toll
