8 weeks and sudden spotting

This morning I wiped and there was a lot of pinkish brown on the toilet paper... This is my 2nd pregnancy (I lost the 1st one at the end of 5 weeks). My 1st appointment is on Thursday (12/17). Should I wait until then to ask? Or should I call today?

    It may not be anything serious, but I would still call your doctor with any concerns or spotting that you're worried about. I wouldn't wait until Thursday in case they'd prefer to have you come in earlier.

    I agree, just call - that's what they're there for and they expect calls about anything and everything.

    Thank you, it has since stopped and nothing is showing up on the pad I put in my panties. I am waiting an agonizing 1/2 hour to call (they open at 830).

    This is how the miscarriage began last time. Pink on the TP, then nothing, then bright red blood. Waiting for the other shoe to drop.

    I've had similiar spotting, like a brown discharge with things that look like blood clots in it but those are also brown. Nothing would come up on a panty liner like at all but when I'd wipe it'd be a pretty good amount. It did scare me at first just because I didn't expect it (this is my first pregnancy) but I've read so many comments on threads like this about ladies who go on to have perfectly fine pregnancies even with bright red discharge.
