Didn't think ahead...

So for my first wedding anniversary I wanted to be a little creative with the traditional paper gift and I got concert tickets for DH for a band he's been wanting to see. We are there right now and I completely didn't think about how we would be in an indoor venue with a lot of pot smokers. The room just reeks of it. I've secluded myself to an upstairs room near an open window to try to get away from it. I feel like an idiot for not thinking this might be an issue. Even here the smell is strong. I may have to full on leave. I feel bad for my husband, who I told to stay I the main hall, but am not willing to second hand weed smoke all night. Ugh.

You're a sweet wife for getting him an awesome gift! I'm sure he is grateful you even thought of him.

Thanks:) I ended up leaving and waiting for him down the street. The smell was too strong but I really didn't want him to miss out since the band was killing it. Just the first of many things I'll have to think about differently now that I'm going to be a mom.

I like your story...but am sorry that you didn't have a great night. It's cool that you thought about "traditional" gifts.

This happened to me a few weeks ago! Hubby got breaking Benjamin tickets for us way before I got pregnant and I did not even think about the venue and people smoking pot and cigarettes!!!! I was so upset with the people there and myself for being so silly. But then again I'm like who am I kidding, they are the ones who are in the wrong! Ugh so frustrating how people can be sometimes. I am sure your husband would rather you be safe in a secluded area rather than breathing all that it. Happy anniversary!

I actually thought about getting tickets to see Guster, but didn't book for this reason. You're a great wife, and I'm sure your husband appreciates it. Happy Anniversary!
