  My son gets them with the same consistency as he did inside the womb. It's just a muscle spasm.

  I don't think there's a way to prevent them but gripe water can help them once he gets them. I just give my LO a small dose and they stop almost immediately.

  Mine says newborn plus, but it can't hurt to call your pediatrician's office and see what they think.

  My pedi said if they had them a lot in utero then it's normal..although still unpleasant for baby!
