Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I have a feeling I have an anterior placenta again this time around....still feeling flutters, but they aren't getting much stronger or more consistent yet.
Upcoming appointments: ONE WEEK until our a/s! I can't believe it's almost here! And 11 days until we find out what we're having (Christmas morning)!
Questions for the Group:
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? This time around, nope, not right now! My cousin was pregnant, but she has an early m/c and my SIL is still trying for #2. I hope they both join me soon!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I'm so excited to find out the sexes today but of course I'm also nervous for the A/S to make sure everything is growing correctly.
No new symptoms except some BH which freaked me out at first
Upcoming appointments: TODAY!!
Questions for the Group:
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Yes tons! Quite a few friends, my boss, my cousin! Lots of spring babies!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Found out the sex of my baby this weekend! So excited to have a baby girl.
Upcoming appointments: 12/17/15 Thursday
Questions for the Group:
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Most of my friends are due within a 3 month period of me. So excited to have people to set up play dates with
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: No complaints really. Sleeping is getting harder. I realize I'm starting to wake up more and not require as much sleep at night but then need a nap during the day. Body must be prepping itself I'm also having some hip discomfort on the left side and knee discomfort at an old injury site on the right. Joints are loosening! It makes me kind of excited actually!
Upcoming appointments: A/S is on the 30th as well as our next appointment. I'm so anxious for it to get here already!
Questions for the Group: None
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you?
Ugh, yes. My new sister in law (married right before thanksgiving) announced on thanksgiving that she was 8 weeks along. She's due around the first of July. Not a big deal until you realize that my DH's brother is the favorite of my FIL, and the announcement made him cry.... I just hate that my DH has always felt "less than" compared to his brother and this was just another shinning example. I am happy for them, I just hate my in laws reaction because they barely reacted to our announcement, and freaking cried over this one! Oh well. Doesn't change our happiness any!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I can't believe we are halfway through our pregnancy! This is just flying by! I have been getting really bad RLP and BH so that sucks. Little man is moving like crazy, though, so that is awesome!
Upcoming appointments: Next Wednesday the 23rd for our AS! So excited to see him again!
Questions for the Group: None
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Yes actually. My SIL is due two weeks after us!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: No rants. I felt the baby move, FOR SURE, on Saturday. It was an awesome, amazing feeling and I love knowing that it was definitely baby. Haven't felt anything since. As far as symptoms - sore boobs.
Upcoming appointments: I had an appointment today! Heartbeat was 140.
Questions for the Group: How did/do you plan to announce the sex to your family? DH and I are putting balloon in a box for the grandparents to open on Christmas, since we find out on the 21. Part of me wants to keep it a secret until baby is here, but I don't know that DH would approve of that.
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you?
Nope, I don't. I do know that my cousin just got her first BFP last week. I am SO EXCITED for her as she has been TTC for YEARS and her first round of IVF worked.

Yikes. I am sorry about their response.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Raves - I'm still sleeping great and feel good. Hoping to keep up my workout schedule because I think that is the main contributor. Only real symptom right now is gaining weight up top.
Upcoming appointments: Dec 21 for Anatomy Scan! We told everyone we were going team Green so they would stop asking us, but plan on revealing via a wrapped present to my parents on Christmas Eve as a complete surprise. I'm so excited.
Questions for the Group: Still on this heart pumping like crazy thing - anyone else experiencing this? I feel like I bring it up a lot, but its just so INTENSE.
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? No family or close friends, though we are a small office (20 people) and two people are due 1-2 months before me. They do not know I'm pregnant yet, and I'm really hoping to get until the new year before I have to tell them.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I got an unexpected day off work (I babysit for family) AND my MIL called this morning and asked if she could steal the kids for the day so heck yes to being able to get stuff done in peace and take a nap today as well as catch up on my shows...thank you hulu
Upcoming Appointments: Dec 21 for anatomy scan and if baby cooperates we'll be able to set a date for our reveal party yay for that!
Questions for the group: my flutters are all over the place this time! I mean they're there but not as consistent as my last 2 pregnancies. Is that normal?
GTKY: Do you have friends or family due around the same time as you? Yes. All three times actually lol my first was actually the boy I babysit. The second was one of my friends and my cousin. This time it's a different cousin of my husband. She's due in June
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I feel flutters (not consistently, but then again I really have to focus on them to realize what it is), but like most PP it's not consistent or getting stronger (been feeling them since 16 weeks). Bump is also looking the same so I'm hoping baby is growing as needed!
Upcoming appointments: Wednesday we have our A/S. We had an elective done at 15w3d so we already know we are having a baby girl, so I'm just excited for a thorough scan to make sure she is healthy!
Questions for the Group: None that I haven't seen answers to in other threads!
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Yes! My BFF is due in a few weeks and then another friend is due 2 weeks after us. Bring on the baby hangouts
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: My depression and anxiety have reared their ugly heads. I have had to be a lot more proactive and assertive at work to make sure I stay well. I really don't want to have to be popping a Klonopin every morning just to get out the door, but the thought of being at work is driving me bonkers. I am here today, but just barely. Ugh.
Upcoming appointments: Today after work to see how the Zoloft and Klonopin are working/any side effects (so far, just headaches)
Questions for the Group: Am I crazy for considering a huge career change right now? For years I have wanted to go into pastoral counseling, but I am too chicken to take the risk of leaving a nursing career that, while not lucrative at all, is at least stable. I would't necessarily be making more money in pastoral counseling, but I would be following what I believe to be a true calling.
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Nope, I'm the only one! Which is super weird because with my first pregnancy, I had no less than 10 close friends who were all due within two months of me.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Just started to be able to feel some flutters within the last week or so! Still struggling with headaches almost daily and waking up several times throughout the night!
Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday the 23rd we have our 20 week appointment and our a/s! Still trying to decide if we will find out or not!
Questions for the group: My husband and I are expecting our first child. He doesn't want to find out the gender and I kind of do!! Did anyone else have this conflict and how did you decide one way or the other??
GTKY: Yes! One of my roommates from college is due 5 weeks after me. I have a cousin due a few weeks before me. My little sisters friend who is very close with our family is due 9 days after me!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: We found out last week we're having a baby boy!! We will have to go back at 28 weeks for a growth check, but for now everything looks good.
Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow, General OB appointment.
Questions for the Group: Nope!
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Sadly, no. I wish .
@laurenmdrn16 I am a firm believer in doing what you feel is best for you and your family. There's nothing wrong with a career change at any point. It's never going to logically feel "right", at least in my experience. Especially considering your depression and anxiety seem worse at your current place employment, it doesn't sound crazy to me at all to be seriously considering a switch.
@jessiedee13 - maybe it has something to do with the placenta placement this time around? I know that can have a big impact on feeling movement.
@AdorkablePixie - We texted our families after the anatomy scan to let them know. Boring, but effective! Your idea sounds cute with the balloons and making it a Christmas present.
@AliciaD39 - no new advice, but did you say you talked to your doctor already? I can't remember. Heart pounding/palpitations in-and-of-themselves aren't necessarily a problem, but your dr might refer you to a cardiologist depending on your family history or other medical factors.

@laurenmdrn16 I agree with this! I would also add that you should be purposeful about mentally preparing yourself for the new challenges and stresses that come along with starting a new career, especially with a baby on the way. Even if you switch to something you are passionate about or feel called to do, it can still be really emotionally and financially challenging, as I'm sure you're aware. But if you and your H are on the same page and you're realistic about possible challenges, I say go for it!
@AliciaD39 My anatomy scan is the same day. I've also been feeling great too, I think it's in part to keeping up my normal exercise regime. I sometimes randomly get the fast heartbeart, but it doesn't last long and it hasn't happened in a little while.
@jessiedee13 The reveal party sounds like fun. My a/s is the same day!
@jessicalynnfish If you guys can't agree on finding out, you could find out and your husband could stay in the dark. Plenty of couples do that. I wanted to find out, but not immediately. I wanted to have my cousin make us a cake and we'd cut it infront of family but DH wasn't having that. He wants to know ASAP.

@AdorkablePixie we've wanted to do a reveal party for all of our babies, but with the first 2 I was still so sick I just sent a text saying "it's a boy" after the ultrasound because I couldn't imagine planning a party through all that nausea. This is our 3rd and final baby. I'm feeling very good compared to my past babies and I'm so excited for it, as is the family they aren't a big thing around here and no one has ever been to one bigger than just the grandparents so its very exciting to me to possibly start a family trend
Edit to add: I found an awesome reveal idea on pinterest as well...it's a reveal volcano! Drop baking soda into colored vinegar and it bubbles up either pink or blue! I'm so excited and my boys will absolutely love it!
@AliciaD39 - no new advice, but did you say you talked to your doctor already? I can't remember. Heart pounding/palpitations in-and-of-themselves aren't necessarily a problem, but your dr might refer you to a cardiologist depending on your family history or other medical factors.
@bluejay3030 - I actually have a cardiologist - I'm high risk because I got a fluke virus on a NYC vacation that led to Stage 4 heart failure... one of those things they see a case in a blue moon. Lucky me. I had my last echo-cardiogram (ultrasound for the heart) in mid November right after the end of first trimester because that was when I was supposed to take on more blood and be more risky. Everything looked fine then, but I'm anxious for the doctor to take my BP (I have one at home, but it never matches DR - always higher at house) and for my next echo in January just for confirmation things are still good.
I'm hoping it is a regular pregnancy symptom, but I just am more aware of my heart than most people? Fingers crossed
Thanks for the feedback - I'll definitely bring it up again in the case they want to move my test up.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Tired and hungry all the time, but nothing too bad.
Upcoming appointments: I have my general OB appointment this afternoon! I am on pins and needles and hoping everything looks and sounds great.
Questions for the Group: None today.
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? A dear friend is due 10 days before I am, but she lives far away, so my baby will have the spotlight all to herself.
@AliciaD39 -Wow, that's intense! I'm so sorry to hear that, but glad all looks well. I hope it eases your mind to know that it can be a harmless pregnancy symptom like in my case, but given your history I think you're definitely doing the right thing by monitoring it closely!! Fx that everything is ok .
@Bluejay3030 we'll see I guess. I've always been a worrier and I just can't help it. My whole family is that way and I'm just not doing well with different...you know?
Edit because I'm dumb and words and such are hard.
Week/Fruit:
Tomorrow I will be 19 weeks and a mango
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
I have to wear pads all the time bc my bladder is leaking. I've reverted back to being a toddler or fast forward to being 80.
Upcoming appointments:
December 23rd we have our A/S and find out the sex Christmas Eve
Questions for the Group:
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? No one that is due at the same time but DH's friends' GF is due in July with their first. Should be interesting...
Been married since 2009. Unicornuate Uterus (yes I menstruate glitter) Several MCs DD born 2013 (our miracle "you can't have babies" baby!)
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I just threw up again last night. This is the most I've vomited in all of my life. Hate it. Leg cramps galore, and stairs....ugh. Yay for almost perfect A/S. Boo for fluid around kidneys.
Upcoming appointments: 20w on the 28th.
Questions for the Group: Anyone else still exhausted? I can only go for short periods before it's time for a nap.
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? My BIL"s Gf is due a week before me but her baby is measuring small and mine is measuring big. If we go on the same day it will be interesting as my hospital is probably an hour from hers. Bet his mom goes to the younger brother and takes a while to see our baby. The younger is def favored.
Edited: because I just got the fruit part. So sad pregnancy brain.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Feeling pretty good, though I did randomly cry and yell at my husband while I was doing the dishes last week.
I also haven't felt any movement yet. I want to feel this baby!
Upcoming appointments: My anatomy scan is on NYE. I'm nervous to see that everything is going well and excited to learn the sex!
Questions for the Group:
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Nope. First baby in family. First in friend group to get pregnant. I'm all alone!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Starting to get uncomfortable to sleep and go back to bed after I've already woken up. Still a little nauseous in the mornings.
Upcoming appointments: I have an appt on the 22nd. I went to see the nurse this past Friday and got to hear the heartbeat, she found it right away which was awesome since before it took them a bit to find it when baby was smaller. Strong 150
Questions for the Group:
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Yes, my SO's aunt is due sometime in June. No friends are pregnant.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Over the past week I've finally developed a more defined belly, which means little pains in my lower abdomen and itchy skin. Still lower on energy than my usual self, but most days I'm fine.
Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow we have our second sonogram and an appointment with my doctor. We plan on waiting until the baby is born to find out the baby's gender, but we are still excited about seeing the baby.
Questions for the Group: none
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? Unfortunately no, one of my close friends lost her baby at around 9 weeks. We would have been due within a week of each other. It's been difficult for both of us as we grieve her loss, but are also excited about my pregnancy. She is genuinely happy for me, but we both feel a bit of sadness each time we talk.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I still haven't felt any movement yet, not even a flutter (at least I don't think so). Part of me really wants to feel something, and the other part of me is afraid I am going to be freaked out when I do. I've gained about 8 lbs. so far, and I think it is all in my breasts! I went for a bra fitting yesterday afternoon because I was spilling out of all of mine, and I had gone up a whole cup size and a band size. But my bump still doesn't look like I'm pregnant yet; it just looks like I've had too many burritos!
Upcoming appointments: Jan. 7th for our a/s. We already know it's a boy because of our Harmony results, so I am just hoping that everything else looks good.
Questions for the Group: (I posted this in the recent baby shower thread, so this for those of you who didn't see it there.) If your baby shower is out of town and you will be flying in for it, do you think it's rude to have the hostess ask guests to ship gifts to your local store for pick up (most stores don't charge for store-to-store shipping) rather than bringing gifts to the shower? Would a shower with no gifts (because they are being shipped) be weird?
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? No friends or family. The closest are a co-worker and his wife who are due in February. My sister just had baby last month, so my niece will only be about 6 months older than our LO.
@swflJD - Since you're flying to your shower, I have to think/hope people would be willing to accommodate you by shipping gifts to your house or a store close to you, especially if the host explains your situation. My SIL was in a similar situation, and guests just wrapped and brought pictures of her gifts for her to open. It didn't seem like a big deal to me to do it that way. Hopefully most people will feel the same?
Week/Fruit: 16 weeks: Avocado or an Action figure if you use Ovia
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: SOOO damn tired.. Growing 2 humans will do that I guess.. Feeling the twins more and more
Upcoming appointments: Perinatologist appointment coming up on the 29th for a/s
Questions for the Group: nope
GTKY - Do you have friends or family members that are due around the same time as you? My SIL is due 1 week after me with her second. These twins are our first.

Rants- Tired of driving in ice/snow. I can only imagine how high my bp was this morning.
Upcoming appointments-Januart 8th anatomy scan!!♡♥
No questions
One of my closes friends from college and another good couple/friends of DH and I!

Edit because I'm dumb and words and such are hard.

Unicornuate Uterus (yes I menstruate glitter)
Several MCs
DD born 2013 (our miracle "you can't have babies" baby!)
