Early labor??? HELP!

I'm 37 weeks today, and almost 3 weeks ago I had a thick, greenish mucus discharge ( TMI ), I've been having peroid like cramps for about a week and a half and shooting pain in my lower stomach. I've been really constipated the past couple of days and having some back aches. I get spurts of energy, then crash and have no desire to do anything the rest of the day. I've been really cranky the past two days (poor DH). Two weeks ago my doctor said my cervix was soft and effaced. Could this be the start of early labor??

It could be. 37 weeks is considered "term" so you're no longer preterm but if you are concerned definitely call your doctor. I doubt they would stop labor at this point though.

Green discharge is infection

The green discharge may be a bacterial infection, which will cause cramping and contractions. You need to have it checked by your provider and have it treated.

Did u tell ur doctor about the green discharge at your appt two weeks ago?? If he/she checked ur cervix i would have assumed it could have been seen but maybe not. Is baby still active? Good luck!
