36 weeks and so over it!

I'm 36 weeks and 2 days. Been having strong Braxton Hicks contractions since 28 weeks and some really bad ones that hurt like crazy lately, they are so sporadic tho. Sometimes it's like 2 or 3 an hour then they spread way out again. I can usually get to sleep eventually but once I get up again they start up bad again. I'm just so ready to be done I want to have this baby now. My hips hurt, my pelvic area hurts really bad. Anyone else?

  • Your body is just prepping for d day...hang in there mama, not too much longer! I've been so sore and uncomfortable that I just want to throw a tantrum every day...but I keep telling myself that every day is just another day for this baby to grow and develop and be safe in my tummy :) Braxton hicks suck, but they're helping your cervix prep...instead of resisting them, try and relax into them and let your pelvis relax...that's what I've been trying to do...seems like it will help get things going faster...

  • I'm 36 weeks and 3 days and soooo agree. I had to bring my maternity forward a week cause of the pain. I'm ready now but keep reminding myself that baby might not be and I will cook this baby until he/she is 100% ready. I've had a fantastic pregnancy up until now really so I can't complain, I'm just embracing that this is my bit of rough in it all. (If I go 2 weeks over I may not be so embracing I have to say haha!)
  • 37 weeks today and I understand!! Went to the doc this am and he just laughed because my body is not even starting to show signs that the end is near.
  • 36 weeks 4days and I'm experiencing the same things! I'm physically over this whole pregnancy but I'm trying to mentally syke myself up and keep telling myself that this is all good for the baby and as soon as she gets here it will all be worth it :)
  • I feel the same. I'm 36.3 and we have a lot to do before baby gets here but I don't sleep anymore or sit(or anything else) comfortably plus I'm so excited to meet him! Not to mention, cramps, Braxton Hicks, mood swings and pelvic pressure. I would never wish him to come before he's ready but as soon as he's ready bring it on!
  • 33.4 and I'm done. Spd is kicking my ass this round. I know I have a ton of time left, and if history repeats itself - I'll be going until the very end. Bah.

Not to give you false hope, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Some women walk around for weeks dilated and effaced, whereas others can be neither right up to when they go into labor.

  • I really can't complain, I've had it pretty easy. I'm just tired and sore and so beyond anxious to meet my son! I dream about him when I manage to sleep, and think about him always msince I pretty much always feel him moving! I can't wait until he's ready to be born... Come on BABY!!
  • I'm only 33 weeks and a day and I'm over it too!  First trimester heartburn is back with a vengeance and I'm so achy and sore, I feel 100 years old.  I am not sure how I'm going to get through the next 48 days (or so) but... I suppose we all just have to!
  • Try soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salt. The magnesium should help with the Braxton hix. I am currently 36 weeks 4 days and am ready! In about 2 weeks I will really be ready. Anytime after Christmas and this baby is more than welcome to come!!!

  • 34 weeks exactly today and we had a water break scare. 3 times I felt a significant amount of fluid come out and I went to go get checked. They don't believe it was my water, just an infection. SO INSTEAD OF GETTING A BABY I FOUND OUT I HAVE BV AGAIN. YAY...
I have reached my maximum. I'm out. I want out. Get me off the train. I want my body to myself again and to not feel horrible for the first time in 34 weeks. But I also want a healthy baby. There's no winning.
  • I had like 10-15 BHx last night, so annoying. I guess it's pretty normal, I just hope it means I'll go sooner than later and I won't have to wait till Jan to have this baby! haha

  • 36+2 here. I made it past my goal (my son's 1st birthday) now I'm just done. Eviction. Get out. I've had BH since 22 weeks... Now my sciatic is causing me so much hassle that I'm in tears on a daily basis. I have to have assistance just walking through my house, let alone caring for DS, who I'm home alone with all day. Heartburn is back and my hips are killing me... I'm DONE.
  • @BarrettJ89....agreed 100%! I've also had BH since between 21-22 weeks and they are getting super intense! I want to make it to Friday this week to make it to 36w6d and so glad induction is scheduled for Saturday. Eviction notice little one! I think kiddo dropped more today and can barely walk! And I'm waking up 5-6 times a night with heartburn so bad I'm choking down stomach acid. Counting down the days!
  • I'll be 36 weeks this friday and so far feeling the tightening in my belly, lightning crotch and need to poop even though i just did and peeing alot. Like just peed and about to leave toilet and urge to pee again and yup still more pee comes out... I'm like whats wrong with this body hehe...

My next obgyn appt is tomorrow so can't wait to see what updates we have as my dr reckons baby could come upto 2 weeks early...
  • Baby is measuring very big and in actually getting scanned weekly now because of how big he is. I really want to have a vaginal birth. Was told today they will do another growth scan in two weeks then go from there but it will probably be scheduled csection at 39 weeks because his head by then will most likely not be able to pass my pelvis. I would rather be induced in two weeks and potentially be able to deliver vaginally than have to undergo a csection. :( it just is majorly bumming me out. I'm so ready for him to be here. I wanted to experience child birth and I feel like that's being taken from me because of the scheduled csection. May sound dumb. But I WANT to experience the whole thing, contractions and all.
