Pregnancy and gender dreams

Before I found out I was pregnant I had a dream that I was. Me and my husband has had so many problems in the past I didn't think it was possible for me to get pregnant. To my surprise I was!! Now I am having dreams that I am having a boy. Anyone else having dreams like this?

This pregnancy, the baby in my dreams has always been a boy. With my DD, the baby was always a kitten.

As long as the baby is human, I'm good. Lol

I had one dream so far about a baby boy. But I also had a few baby boy dreams with my first, even after I knew I was having a girl. Not putting too much stock in it!

With my son I was POSITIVE it was a girl because I dreamt of a girl all the time. I had dreams of her almost nightly and saw her at all different ages and stages. DS is definitely a boy. I've had two dreams this one is a girl, and one that it's a boy. My H says I have Terrible intuition lol

I had a dream I got the results of the genetic screening and it was a girl. It was so real, the next day I had to question if it happened or not. I figure it's a 50% chance it is...and a 50% chance it isn't!

I have felt from the day we found out it would be a boy. Sometimes I dream I'm holding him & looking down at him. In my mind there's no doubt it is a boy! But, we haven't gotten any kind of confirmation on that from the doctor! So I guess we shall see! I just hope it is a healthy little babe. I don't care if it's boy or girl!

I dreamed that I had terrible MS. The sickness was so bad that I was getting sick running to the bathroom. Luckily, I woke up and it was just a nightmare.

I've only had dreams that this one is a boy, but I'm also secretly crossing my fingers for a boy so I'm sure that plays a part in it haha I guess we'll find out soon if I have good or bad intuition.

I dreamed I had a boy last time- and had a strong feeling I was (even though I desperately wanted a girl). I got a girl so there goes any promise of my psychic abilities. This time- no idea yet- and no gender dreams yet (just really strange dreams about lots of other things!).

I had a dream before I knew I was pregnant that I had a baby boy who at 1 week old was holding his head up, talking and almost walking. The next night the baby was a toddler and was a complete genuis who had finished most of k-12 schooling by age 3. Something tells me my dreams are not to be trusted regarding this baby...

With DS I had lots of dreams when I was 8 months pregnant that he was a girl (long after I found out he was a boy). Still a boy when he came out. Nothing so far this time around.

I keep having dreams this one is a girl and "feel it in my gut". Honestly though I don't trust my psychic abilities.

With both of my daughters, my husband and I each had dreams of them being girls. We also were SUPER connected to our girl names but not as into the boy names. In my dreams I was calling them by their names before we even knew their gender.

This time I haven't had any gender dreams (I feel like I'm so exhausted after chasing my oldest 2 all day that I just SLEEP instead of dream). But we can't decide on any girl names and are obsessed with our boy name. I find out the gender at the end of January, so we shall see.

I've dreamt about boy twins a few times - there's definitely only one baby. I also dreamt of giving birth to my cat (and breastfeeding her too - weird) and giving birth to twin boys who turned into lizards.

I had a dream it was a girl. A friend told me you dream the opposite of whatever you're having. I had a feeling it was a boy, but we're having a girl. I don't believe in any of those feelings and old wives tales. I think I dreamed a girl, because that's what I was hoping for.

I had a dream when I first found out I was pregnant that the baby was a puppy

but then two nights ago I had a dream it was triplets and it definitely is not lol the doctor only heard one heartbeat. Then last night I had a dream it was a girl. She was a toddler in my dream. We go tomorrow to find out the sex of the baby

I've dreamed about seeing a baby but never knowing if its a girl or boy this is my second child and my son is very excited he doesn't care if its a girl or a boy as long as the baby is healthy but I do remember seeing the baby with so much hair n in one dream I was in a room with the baby n it had the breathing tube in its nose very nervous about that dream but hoping for a healthy lil girl this time to complete me and my husband we both have boys from our previous relationships

So after my dream about having a little girl we went to find out the sex two days later and sure enough its a girl! We are so excited!

OK so my last pregnancy I kept dreaming about blond women (this is not mystical - I knew I was having a girl and it was a safe bet she would be blond, which she is). This time I keep having dreams about redheaded men. So we'll see if that means anything in 7 months, I guess :P

I had a dream DD was a girl before I knew. She was about three with blonde curls, I couldn't see her face and I told someone that's my daughter. That's all I remember. With DS I had a dream I was at the hospital and they handed me a boy with blonde spiky hair and I called him Jack. Both my kids have blonde curly hair but DS's name isn't Jack. I've had a dream I had a girl and a boy this time so no idea.

The whole time I've been fairly certain baby is a girl but everyone else swears it's a boy. We go for our ultrasound January 2nd and last night I dreamed we were at the appointment and they said it was a boy. So I guess we will see!

Separate sacs so assuming all fraternal. Plus I did IF and had multiple mature follicles. But not for sure yet!

We have our ultrasound this evening so I will see if my intuition is terrible or not!

I have a very strong feeling that it's a girl this time, but I've had two dreams about it being a boy.

With DS I was sure it was a boy from the beginning and never really had any gender dreams.

I have had 2 dreams now that have depicted I'm having a boy. I thought it was a boy in the beginning, now I think I'm having a girl. I know it is a 50/50 chance but it's killing me to keep guessing.

Very cool! You could definitely end up with some of both then. I worked with a guy who had an identical twin and a fraternal triplet, I always thought that was so cool.

I read somewhere that a study showed that women who dreamt about having one sex, in fact, had the opposite. I don't remember what the connection was (if any), but I thought it was kind of interesting. And from some of the comments on here, sounds somewhat accurate. I've been dreaming about having a baby boy as well, so I guess we shall see in a few more weeks!

What happens with those of us have dreamt in separate dreams about BOTH sexes

That's a good question! I can't say I read in great detail into the article, as I don't put much stock into the guessing games (just think they are fun sometimes), but I'm assuming they based it on the predominant sex that was dreamt about. I have dreamt about a girl once or twice, but mostly it has been about a boy.

I heard the same thing about dreams and gender. I had a dream about a girl and went in for my ultrasound and it turns out she's a girl! Lol

Lol, that is why I don't put much stock into these "studies", but think they can be fun! Congrats on a little girl!

I've had dreams of both, however in one dream we discovered the sex by planting a seed and some other weird things? (Oh, pregnancy dreams haha!) So I think I'll wait for the actual anatomy scan before putting all of my eggs into a pink/blue basket

! Yeah hopefully the anatomy scan comes up with same thing lol but we are waiting to buy anything just in case. My anatomy scan is only a month away.

Just for fun...when I was pregnant with DS I was convinced he was a girl because of a dream I had. He's a boy!

I haven't had any dreams this time around yet.

I just read thru everyone's posts on their different dream and I must say I'm so jealous of everyone having dreams of pregnancy and babies. I'm still at the really weird vivid dreams phase. Hopefully reading this before bed will inspire my dreaming.

Very cool! You could definitely end up with some of both then. I worked with a guy who had an identical twin and a fraternal triplet, I always thought that was so cool.

I wonder if the fraternal triplet would feel like the odd one out or if it just didn't matter? Did your coworker elaborate on the dynamic at all?
