Temping app?

I borrowed "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" from the library. I made it through chapter 1 last night before I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore (from having a cold, the book is good so far). I think I want to try this charting thing, but I'm lazy and don't want to print off a bunch of paper to keep track. Is there an app that you ladies would recommend for this?

Thanks!

    Download the Fertility Friend app. You can track it on there.

  • Loading the player...
  • Thank you!  I went into the Google play store, was bombarded with several, and wasn't sure which one would be best.

    @schuette2

    No worries. I downloaded it because 90% of the ladies here use it and like it. Some others I have heard people use (I asked when I was having issues with my app) are OvaGraph and Kindara

    Fertility Friend also has an online site connected to the app - so if you find that you're on the computer and want to chart on the computer, you can do so then as well. It's one of the reasons I love FF, personally.

  • Awesome. I downloaded it Monday....and have forgotten all about it since. I think I need to research it all a bit more. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing.

  • I just started tracking with Ovia and seems to be pretty decent, haven't tried any of the others to compare it to.
  • I had no idea what I was doing either when I first started. I thought it was measuring your actual body temperature so when I measured the first two times I thought there was something wrong with me because it was 97.1 and I thought it was suppose to be 98.5! LOL

    Tips I saw for measuring was to do it first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed, so keep your thermometer by your bedside (you're not even suppose to sit up). I think for best results you are suppose to do it at the same time every day, but I haven't been very good at that. My thermometer is annoying because there is no back light on it, so in order to read the temperature I need to have my phone flashlight on.
  • Mine doesn't have a backlight, either, and I keep forgetting to take my temperature.

  • I installed ovia, ovuview and glow on my phone. I'm not temping, but wanted to log other symptoms and since it's my first cycle and I'm not expecting much of it I wanted to try some apps to compare which one I like best to work with.

    I keep mine right with my phone, and then use the phone as my flashlight. If it's on the phone when my alarm goes off, I don't forget. I do my best to take it at the same time every day because open circles on FF bug my perfectionist mind.
