7 weeks-up every 2 hrs!!!!!

Lo is 7 weeks old and for the past couple of days he's been up every 2 hrs like clockwork wanting to eat. He's eating 4 oz each time.We are formula feeding. Is this normal? Whats everyone else's lo doing?

    That's 48 ounces a day...that just seems like a lot to me

    Babies tend to eat more frequently and drink more milk just before a growth spirt. Could be getting ready to grow. My son did that a few week ago for a few days. Then didn't eat much and slept all the time. By the time we were back to a normal feeding pattern his clothes were fitting a little tighter.
    For us, this only lasted a few days. A week tops.

    If that sounds like a lot then my baby is out of control lol he eats 4-5 ounces every 3 hours and he's 5 weeks in a few days lol I suppliment formula with breast milk. You could always ask the pedi, but if they aren't hungry they won't eat. It's crazy how much they can pack in those little bellies lol

    We're hitting seven weeks tomorrow and she's eating every 2.5 hours- same 4 ounces that she was eating every 3-3.5 hours. We're also back to waking up every 3 hours at night and her first stretch was 5-6 hours. Babies are not robots, they know if they're hungry and they know when they're full even it seems like "a lot". I wouldn't worry about it, my LO is starting to become more alert and unclench her fists and "talk", so there's obviously a lot of growing happening right now so we're just going with it.

    My LO is 9 weeks old and he has been eating 4 oz every 1.5-2 hours for about a month. His doctor said as long as he isn't spitting up a lot after feeding then we should let him eat. We are hoping to get longer stretches soon. He is outgrowing his 3 month clothes already. We were concerned that it was too much formula but if he's hungry I'm going to feed him. Like pp said babies know when they are hungry.

    My LO is 8 weeks and we just upped his formula to 5oz every 4ish hours.  Last night he went 10 hours between feedings (knock on wood).  He outgrew 3 month clothing about two weeks ago and 6 months fit perfectly and he can even wear some 9 month sleep and plays with a little room.  At his two week apt he was only 55th percentile for weight and 90th for height so it'll be interesting to see where he is at on Friday at his two month apt.  Like pp said if he's hungry and inconsolable we feed him.

    My LO is 8 weeks tomorrow eats every two to three hours and ranges from 2-5 oz per feeding. He's kinda all over the place 2 oz is the normal but sometimes will eat the whole bottle. Probably just a growth spurt. I would calculate what he eats in a 24 hours period, rule of thumb for formula is 2-2.5 oz per pound of body weight.

    My DD is 7 weeks old and she's drinking 5oz of Aptamil hungry milk (I'm from the UK) for hungry babies only difference between this and the regular formula is that it contains whey which makes the milk heavier so she's fuller for longer and sleeps for longer she sleeps between 4-5 hours at a time unless she's going through a growth spurt on the regular formula she sleeps 2 hours at a time
