Primrose Evening Oil

Hi ladies! Just curious if any of you have heard about this, and if you plan on doing it. I bought a bottle this weekend, and had a talk with my OB. She said its fine to take 37 weeks or after. (Obviously all doctors will be different though). I have a friend who took these as well as the raspberry leaf, and she swears that's why her labor just went so smoothly. Everyone's different of course, just curious to see if other women have heard things/wanna share experiences and what not. :)

    Please google this!
A friend of mine reccomended it and I googled it- it can be linked to a more difficult labor, labor complications etc.
If I can find the article I read about this I'll add it here.

Edit: this is the article I read on it

Also, I didn't mean to sound rude - I live by the google :P

  • I took it for 3 days before I went into labor at 39+5. Who knows if it had anything to do with it, but I had a pretty easy delivery. (Hoping I didn't just jinx myself with this one).
  • My L+D instructor told me that the Red Raspberry Leaf Tea is good for strengthening your uterus. So I plan on starting that up at 36-37 weeks. She was back and forth on the Primrose oil. She didn't have much to say positively or negatively. But that was just my personal experience.

  • Thanks for the input everyone. There's not a lot for, or against. Just wanted to see if other mamas out there had any input. I think I'm gonna give it a try starting next week. I also bought some Third Trimester Tea from Earth Angel Mama.. It tastes great :) Hope you're all hanging in there!
  • I used evening primrose oil last pregnancy along with red raspberry tea and I had a vba2c. I had to be induced because she would not budge! But once we got going my labor was 5 hours long and I pushed for 20 minutes. I started the raspberry leaf tea last night (had 2 good bh contractions and some heartburn!!) not sure when I will start epo this time. But I'm all for it.
