RLP question

Hi,
I'm paranoid and tearful again... I just get so anxious when new symptoms pop up. My right side pelvis has achey stretchy pain... and it sometimes seems aggrivated by me peeing (! Kind of weird? Just feels like the pressure bugs it) It doesn't hurt a ton at all- just annoying and this really just cropped up today. I remember worrying over aches and pains with my daughter and they wound up being no big deal.
Corresponding with that, my back is aching more- really only when on my feet.
I am just over 12 weeks.
I guess I just need insight from those dealing with RLP. Does this all sound relatively normal? Are RLP and back ache connected at all? My left side doesn't hurt at all (rarely has this whole pregnancy).
I see my OB on Wed but like many of you I'm anxious and aches and pains always heighten the anxiety... plus I think I'm getting a cold so I'm just a physical mess.
Thanks for any words of wisdom.

Re: RLP question

  • If all these symptoms are pretty mild this seems normal. Try a hot pad and some stretching for the back pain. If it still hurts or gets worse leading up to your appt talk to your doctor.

  • Thanks. Yes very mild... right now I'm lying in bed and barely aware of either. I'm just paranoid I think... 2 mmc's in my past plus just normal first trimester scares I think.
  • My RLP with #1 could be described as light twinges of pains that came and went for 7-10 days.

With #2, I have had intense, breathtaking pains for nearly 6 weeks and my doc is unconcerned.
  • @SMLmom I think concern given your past losses is normal, but everything you've mentioned sounds like typical pregnancy symptoms to me. My RLP the last few days has felt like quick, sharp twinges down my inner abdomen/pubic area, but I think it can be different at different times and for different women. Hope this helps!
  • @SMLmom firstly it is only natural given your previous losses but this is exactly the same symptoms as I have. Also I remember now that I was told before that if you lay down and it goes away it is RLP (and later BHs). Try not to worry. If it's not severe it's just baby moving up and growing. I'm the exact same timing as you.

  • i have RLP, on both sides but never at the same time.  I also find mine aches and is more noticeable after I pee.  I think it's because the bladder is empty so things can shift a little easier, so it makes the stretching more noticeable. I have had some back aches, usually before or after i notice the RLP, just not at the same time.  A bath and/or stretching helps.  Try not to worry, but you can always call your doctor's nurse line if you're concerned :)
