Infertility

How many is too many tries?

DH and I have tried 2 fresh and 1 frozen ivf transfers and failed. I am currently on BC now and then estradiol when AF comes next for another FET. This will then be our 4th attempt and with another possible BFN, I don't know if I can handle it!

Any advice or stories will be greatly appreciated. TIA

Hi there ! I agree with @2legbaby - I don't think there is an answer . I agree too that it could be good to take some months to regroup and allow your body to relax and get your mind right before trying again . I haven't done IVF but even just with my IUI cycles that failed I just didn't feel like mentally I could handle going on . Even if I was going to get pregnant I was a nervous unhealthy wreck !

It's natural to feel discouraged at this point but you can do it ! In my personal opinion I say keep trying whenever you are ready . It could be a few months it could be a year or years . There's no right answer . Do you have frozen embryos ? I know finances could play a factor in this decision, too .

For what it's worth - I know someone that did five transfers before a success ! She now has a beautiful healthy daughter !
