*Vent* Army Maternity Uniforms Suck!!!!!

No pockets!
Tent blouse!
Super long, un-hemmed pants!
Need I say more? They must think pregnant women have giraffe legs and no opposable thumbs!!

I mixed my uniforms today (regular top and maternity bottoms) which I know is a no-go, but I didn't really care. Everyone could see my bump and everyone knows now. Only essential leadership personnel were in today (I'm a reservist), and my commander got so caught up jabbering that we never went to lunch! Thank goodness my DD told me to pack one. I swear she must be psychic sometimes. The whole time I was uncomfortable, hot, and my feet were swelling in my combat boots. Two more long days and then regular work on Monday. Sorry for the random rambling!! On that note, I'm going to get ready for the 0530 PT I'm administering in the morning :(

  • Ugh. That sucks. (5:30 PT *and* the uniform!) I have a hard enough time getting dressed right now in clothes I actually get to pick myself.

  • Wow, I can only imagine! Poor you.
  • @MynaBird I'm glad this is *usually* only a one weekend a month/two weeks out of the year gig. I couldn't imagine the annoyances and struggles of pregnant active duty soldiers!!
  • I just got my commission!  Going active duty in August, I head to BOLC about 10 weeks after my due date... I hope I can fit into a regular uniform by then.  And do sit ups...
  • I was active duty during my first pregnancy. Those uniforms were the worst. On the bright side, you wear pt shoes with the pregnancy uniform, so you don't have to worry about the boots anymore! :)

  • Hey ladies! Im in the navy. Ours suck too but with DS1 I got them altered quite a bit (shirt shortened, sleeves shortened...and it made the blouse look so much better. Also, if your feet swell your dr can write you a note to wear sneakers in uniform!! Im not sure why you are participating in unit PT, you should be exempt!

  • I got a no boot chit last pregnancy because boots suck. I like the navy ones, our khaki blouses have pockets but our camo doesn't. It feels like big pj's to me. I need to get my new rank sewed into my camo, and find them, i haven't unpacked my hhg yet
