Constipation after retrieval?

I had my retrieval yesterday and now I can barely move! OMG does my butt hurt! Sorry to whomever thinks this is TMI but I am in so much pain and can't even use the bathroom!! Any instant remedies?? I wasn't aware that this happens and apparently it's totally normal. But it's terrible. Ouch ouch ouch! It's 4am and between my stomach cramping and butt hurting, I'm walking like a crippled 90year old woman.

    Sorry you're so uncomfortable! It is totally normal from my experience and my RE's comments. I ended up needing to use a glycerin suppository to help things along. They work in about 15-20 min. Ducolax is a popular brand that's sold everywhere. If it becomes worse or you are very concerned, I would recommend calling your RE. Hang in there!

    Confirmed singleton-Heartbeat on 9/19-160bpm! EDD: May 1, 2017, It's a girl!!
    Pre-term labor/loss-stillborn at 18w. 
    FET #4- 1 embryo-Aug 12th-BFP on 8/23 Beta #1-112 Beta #2-298 Beta #3-1010
    Confirmed Identicals!- Heartbeats seen on 9/8  Miscarriage on 9/18
    FET #5- 1 embryo- 1/12/18-BFN
    Lots of testing and finally determined I have elevated natural killer cells. Will begin prednisone and IVL treatment before next round.
    IVF#4- April 2018 8 eggs, 7 fertilized/3 frozen
    FET #6- 1 embryo- 6/11/18- BFP on 6/21 Beta #1-446, Beta #2-1841 
    Confirmed singleton- 6/29/18 HB-157 EDD: February 22, 2019. It's a Boy!

    Stool softner and liquids with electrolytes. I'd go with Pedialyte, coconut water or smart water to avoid all the sugar in Gatorade.

    Sorry you're experiencing this. I too had a though time with constipation after my retrieval. It lasted for about 3 days. It made my pain from the retrieval a lot worse.

    I had a little coffee (mostly decaf with a splash of caff) and some Colace and it worked like a charm.  :)

    I had the same problem! I took some ducolax three days after retrival and that seemed to help. However, it was another four days after that that I was able to use the bathroom again. I did that with the help of prune juice and a salad for dinner. Now, I have been drinking prune juice every night before bed and I've been back in my normal schedule for three days. I don't think anything is TMI when dealing with infertility :)
