Egg Retrieval yesterday...now the wait!!!

I don't think my husband and I have ever been so anxious until the day before and the day of the retrieval. We both didn't get much sleep Monday night. We kept waking up in the middle of the night thinking we overslept or that we forgot to do something to prepare for the big day. Then it was Tuesday. I was in so much pain after the procedure and it lasted thru this morning. We have 12 eggs. Was hoping for more but I hope 12 will yield us enough to transfer and freeze. I'm trying not to think about what could be going on in the lab and how the fertilization is coming along but I hope I get some news from my coordinator this afternoon. I know it's only day one but nerves, you know?
I'm praying and praying and hoping that we'll be given a wonderful gift this Christmas.

    Sending positive vibes your way! Try not to be too stressed and anxious. I know it's hard, but it's not good for you. Trust that your little embabies are in good hands!

    Thank you @ShanTeach. Just got word from my coordinator that 9 out of 12 were mature and have fertilized! Gave me some relief! Now praying for those 9 to make it down to the 5th day and PGS and some of course pregnancy. Would love to have twins

    Thats pretty darn good @LoveBulldogs99 ! The fact that 9 were mature and all 9 mature eggs fertilized is pretty awesome! Hahah... love that you want twins. Very real possibility! I used to feel the same way, but after a friend having loads of complications, am less set on it. Would still love twins, but the idea of having premies and being in the hospital for a month after all I've already been through is scary to me. At this point I'm not sure if I'll put 2 or 1 in when I do my cycle in Feb/Mar. I'm very torn. 

    Fingers crossed for you that they ALL develop beautifully and you can transfer and get your BFP this cycle. Big hugs to you!

    Started TTC April 2011
    Me: 32, DH: 32
    Diagnosis: Endometriosis

    • 2012 - 3 Rounds clomid - all BFN
    • 2013 - 1 Fresh IVF with 2 day 3 embryos - BFN
    • 2014 - 1 Frozen IVF with 2 day 5 embryos - BFN
    • Took a long break, continuing trying naturally
    • Feb 2016 - Biopsy = Endo, DH sperm improved from 1% to 6% morphology
    • March 2016 - Fresh IVF cycle with acupuncture & intralipids: 20 eggs retrieved (17 mature), 7 ICSI'd fertilized, 9 naturally fertilized. 16 total embryos!
    • April 8th - 2 embryos (1ICSI and 1 Natural) transferred. (7 blastocysts frozen), April 18th - Beta = BFN
    • Sept 23rd - Lupron Depot Injection for Endo control
    • Nov 15th 2016 - Started daily Lupron Injections for upcoming FET
    • Nov 22 - Baseline US/BW - Intralipid Infusion - Start Meds for FET with immune protocol
    • Dec 16th FET transfer of 3 embryos (1 - AA, 2 - BB)
    • TW below
    • Dec 22nd - first ever bfp (very faint lines FRER & cheapie)
    • Dec 27th Beta = 192, Dec 29th Beta = 379
    • EDD - Sept 5th 2017

    12 eggs is an excellent number don't let that get yourself down. I had 12 :) 11 of them fertilized and 7 made it to day 5, now we have 6 frozen. Hoping you get good results too :) Are you doing a 3day or 5day transfer?

    In my case, I did not get news the first day, only the day after the transfer and then again on day 3 and the day of transfer, day 5. I know it is a very stressful time, you just have to think that your eggs are under very good care right now! I am glad you got a good ammount of eggs that fertilized!
