Rants/Raves? My rant and rave are the same thing today. Just one more week until Christmas break, which means 2 weeks off. This also means 10-12 hour days for the next week. End of the semester projects to grade, regular assignments to grade, final exams to make, study guides to make, study guides to grade, final exams to take. Let's not forget all those great parent phone calls..."No as it turns out there is nothing your student can do to bring their grade up 10 percentage points 1 week before the semester ends".
Dr. Appointment updates? We had NT scan on Wednesday 9th. Everything looks great, the measurements were good, heartbeat was strong. She's growing like crazy and was moving around a lot. Great to see her!
GTKY: My favorite movie is Jungle book. Love it!!

Rants/Raves? Restless leg syndrome is terrible and has kept me up all week long. I got approval from my Dr. today to take magnesium supplements 2x a day in hopes that they will help...
Dr. Appointment updates? Had our 12 week appointment today! I was disapointed that we did not get a sonogram (our NT is on Thursday so they didn't want to do another one within the week) but we did get to hear the heartbeat! Was such a relief after 4 weeks of just trusting that all was going well in there!
GTKY: While in the spirit of being in Orlando, whats your favorite Disney movie? I mean like cartoon - not a people movie (like Might Ducks or Flubber or something). :-) Its a toss up for me between Cinderella & The Little Mermaid! I also loved Beauty & the Beast as a kid... but my parents had to hide the Little Mermaid movie because we watched it everyday on repeat and they were so sick of it so I guess that was my absolute favorite!

Rants/Raves? Just happy it's the weekend! Looking forward to a date night tonight with DH. Even if it just consists of going to Target, getting our ugly Christmas sweaters and going for frozen yogurt.
Dr. Appointment updates? Next appointment on Monday! I think this one is just blood work and hearing baby's heartbeat again, but I'm still excited!

Rants/Raves? So excited to be out of the 1st trimester.
Dr. Appointment updates? Appointment next thursday and I am super anxious to see and hear our baby's heartbeat again. 4 weeks is far to long to wait to hear that sweet heartbeat.

Rants/Raves? I'm so happy this semester is over and I get to relax (well besides working)!!!! Date night tonight so I'm excited about that it's been a while since DH and I spent time together alone!
Dr. Appointment updates? We went to the doctor this past Monday and were just expecting to hear baby's heartbeat but we got to hear it on the doppler and he did an ultrasound and baby looked great!

I hope this kid likes Disney movies
Rants/Raves? We spent the last week telling people about the baby. It has been so fun to see their reactions and also a relief that it is no longer a secret. My bosses are wonderful and told me to let them know what my plans are for leave and if I want to come back part time or full time. Whatever I want, they'll make happen. I'm really glad that I work at my organization and especially with this particular group of people for my first pregnancy. Tonight my brother and SIL are coming over for dinner and we plan to tell them then. They're the only ones in our immediate families who we'll get to tell in person. Plus, I'm excited to spend time with them because we haven't seen them much lately.
Dr. Appointment updates? Still waiting for my first Centering appointment next Friday.

Rants/Raves? Wore a tight shirt to work for our team party and rocked my bump in the open yesterday. Felt wonderful!

Rants/Raves? I'm so relieved to finally have the news out in the open. I announced to my students today and they were all so excited.

I mean like cartoon - not a people movie (like Might Ducks or Flubber or something). :-) This question is seriously impossible to answer. There's no way to pick just one Disney flick. Lion King, Little Mermaid and Tarzan are all pretty awesome but so are all of the other princess movies.
Rants/Raves? Lost 17 pounds in this first trimester (all from early and lasting satiety, never once vomited). This week I finally got to a point where I can eat 3 meals a day!
Dr. Appointment updates? I have frequent appointments with both my OB and an MFM physician. I've been told I'll have ultrasounds every 2 weeks to keep a close eye on my mono-di identical twins! Had NIPT (I'm turning 40 this month) done about 10 days ago and still anxiously awaiting the results. NT scheduled for Monday.

DH may not be able to go to the anatomy scan with me. It's on the 29th and he's an accountant so he's ridiculously busy at the end/beginning of the year. He works to far to meet me on his lunch break. I'm so heartbroken!

Went Wednesday and everything was perfect. We had been keeping an eye on babys HB since its been unusually high and DS has heart defects. The HB was perfect this time! So relieved. Next appointment is the anatomy scan and blood work.

Not much, Just feeling the extra stress on the holidays. I feel like it would be nice if we could enjoy family time instead of doing all the junk we feel like we're "supposed to be doing"
Also I swear I am feeling movement and really wish I could know for sure.

Dec 24. It seems so far away. The closer it gets the more anxious I get. We won't have an u/s this time just doppler, so I'm nervous about that.

Oh I dont know if I could pick one. I love pocahontas, aladdin, brave, and inside out, along with literally all the others, like the aristocats and the sword in the stone.
Rants/Raves? I love the holidays, but preparing for them is stressful.

Dr. Appointment updates? Had an appt on Wednesday, and got to see the baby moving and grooving! Everything looked great! I had the Verifi test done as well as the genetic testing on me (for cystic fibrosis, muscular distrophy), so just waiting for the results on those. Hoping they come before Christmas!

Rants/Raves? so happy to be in the 2nd trimester! Yay! Yesterday was my DH's birthday and last night my 4 yo DD came down with fever and vomiting. I feel so bad that DH had to take care of her last night on his birthday but I'm trying to avoid being exposed since I don't know what she has. We received a notice from her preschool this week that Hand Foot and Mouth Disease is going around so it could be that but can't be sure.

Rants/Raves? I've had the flu all week. Totally miserable. Missing nightquil and Dayquil so much. Had to miss my good friend's graduation today and I'm just totally bummed.
Dr. Appointment updates? We are waiting for our blood test results on what the sex of the baby is. Already 15 weeks so it isn't long until we would find out at the A/S but we had the NT scan at 13 weeks 5 days and they offered the test so we did it. Hopefully they call Monday! Can't wait to know if we have a boy or girl on the way!! We're telling the family the gender at Christmas and they are very bummed we are making them wait a whole week and a half kill. Excited Grandmas.

Had a great time at DD's bday party yesterday. I can't believe she's two already! I also told my students I'm pregnant on Friday, so now I get to wear clothes that fit to school on Monday! Yay! Also thrilled NT results all came back normal.

12/30- for a regular checkup and 16 week bloodwork. Anatomly scan isn't until 1/25.
