Okay, I googled "Free Birth," and what I'm coming up with is unassisted childbirth. I'm guessing based on your post that you're planning on going through pregnancy and childbirth without medical attention, and you're wondering if what you're experiencing is normal. The only person who can tell you with any certainty is a midwife or OB.
The ladies of The Bump are not doctors (for the most part). You need an OB/midwife, and you need prenatal care, and you need to consult them if you're concerned about your symptoms, and even if you're not concerned about your symptoms, because access to prenatal care is why maternal and infant mortality rates are no longer through the goddamned roof in the developed world and choosing to forego it is playing Russian roulette with not just your health, but the life of your unborn child.
I hope I'm sorely mistaken about my interpretation of this post. If I'm not: GO. TO. THE. DOCTOR.
If you want to do a free birth, that includes no medical interventions during and before (am I right)? If that's the case, then the fact that you already have questions about what's normal means you can not and should not be doing a free birth.
In general I think this is an absolutely terrible idea and I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would ever consider something so irresponsible and dangerous. If you don't care about your own health, fine. But you are carrying another person inside you, and they deserve the best. This means that you should have a trained professional with you when you deliver, be that a midwife or an OB, be it at home, or the hospital.
Is a free birth what you crazy Canadians call it? Here in the US, it's a pretty expensive birth.
dont generalize all Canadians based on this crazy one if she is Canadian..
OP, please dont do a Feee Birth. so much can go wrong.. i agree with everything @AGK2015 said.
Not lumping all the Canadians together. I had no idea what free birth was. Just making a healthcare cost joke. If I'd known free birth really was such a crazy and dangerous thing I wouldn't have called Canadians crazy.
OP, please get yourself to a doctor!!!!

This is one of the reasons that some sort of a vetting process should be done for people who want to procreate. Most ridiculous post I've ever seen on tb.

Even if you wish to have no interventions at birth, you should have a health professional you can contact with concerns. You can start with a qualified homebirth midwife. She can help you decide if you need to see a certified nurse midwife or OB.

Ditto to PP, when broken down, groups that have less access to prenatal care or choose to forgo it tend to have much higher infant mortality rates, we're talking 3x (or 300% higher) rate of infant mortality. Get yourself to an OB or Midwife and get yourself checked out. You can't rely on internet discussion forums for pregnancy related medical questions, that's just not how it works and it isn't fair to the new life you're attempting to bring into this world.
There are many doctors/midwives who are more than willing to go low intervention with little to no sonograms or interventions during your pregnancy but they can help to make sure the baby is progressing and you and doing all that you need to in order to make a healthy new human.

OP, just like most of the ladies here already mentioned, go seek the help of a medical professional and not from complete strangers on the Internet.

@reneefrench
I am hoping we are all misinterpriting what you mean by free birth because it does not sound like it is a good idea for you AT ALL.
